Counter Service, Table Service and Snacks Oh my!

So we made our way over to France and checked in for our 5pm ADR which is the first seatings---it was already VERY crowded and people were trying to stay under the canopy out of the sun. We were seated about 15 minutes later and our waitress was Charlotte. She was very pleasant and attentive through the entire meal.

I started off with the mushroom flatbread. YUMMMMMMMM This was over the top in terms of size.

Ashely got the bacon and onion flatbread...She could barely scratch the surface.

We both loved these and would order them as a meal if we went there and paid OOP.

TC ordered the calamari but didn't read that there was a sauce on it so when it came he grew worried (he is a pretty plain guy). The sauce wasn't too bad and he ate every bite.

Lil man got a salad which I don't remember if he ate much of it

Entrees
ME: Roasted chicken with mashed potatoes and braised tomato. I loved the flavor of the chicken and it was very juicy. Mashed were good---I just stayed away from the braised tomato--not a fan of mushy tomato.

Ashley: the fancy french Mac and cheese (lol) they have the real name on wdwinfo.com if you want to look. She LOVED this and said it was the best mac and cheese she has ever had. No more Kraft for her!

TC got the Salmon--whic had the SAME sauce as the calamari...just not as overpowering. He said he liked this better

Trae had plain penne with chicken fingers which were standard penne and fingers

Dessert both TC and I had the tart---Yummmm...For some reason as simple as it was it became one of my top fave desserts on property.

Ashley got the sorbet but she hated all the flavors---she looked the elephant ear though! LOL

Overall one of our favorite meals of the trip--I can't wait to return here and try new things!

That is actually what i am thinking of doing when I go in October. I will be solo that night and no DDP so I figure I can order whatever I want! Right now I am thinking a flatbread, maybe soup or salad, and of course dessert!

Glad to hear the flatbreads were so good. Did you have a preference? I like the sound of the bacon one better but it looks like sort of soggy bacon (I like mine burned to a crisp). Any recommendations on which one?

I guess it depends on whether or not you like mushrooms..I am a HUGE fan of them and I liked my flatbead much better then hers..You are right--it wasn't crispy bacon which I also prefer. I say the flatbread with a crock of onion soup---YUMMMMMMMMMYYYYY!!!!

Goofy's
Both kids had pretzel rods dipped in chocolate and then in Oreo cookie. They REALLY liked these as a midday snack---great use of a snack credit as you get 3 rods

Where is Goofy's? Candy store? in DTD or at MK. Sounds like a great deal for a snack credit and all my kids love chocolate pretzels.

Goofy's Candy Co is in DTD. YOu can make the pretzel rods or Marshmallows, or rice crispie treats...I think it's a GREAT use of snack credits and the kids LOVED them...haha so did mommy!

I think we will for sure do that. Trying to spread the wealth of our snack credits and a 3 for 1 deal is GOOD!
