I have been so obsessed with my table service reservations that I have not really given any thought to counter service meals. I thought we would just wing it like last year. After reading some of the great dining reviews I am wondering if anyone has any "must do" counter service spots??

Thanks!!

I would really recommend Tangerin Cafe (in Morocco) at Epcot and Flame Tree BBQ at Animal Kingdom.

MK
Peco Bills in Frontierland
?? in Adventureland right across from Pirates, they serve taco salads and are only open for lunch - LOVE that place.

AK
Pizzafari

Epcot
Electric Umbrella
fish & chips walk up next to Rose & Crown in UK

HS
Backlot is semi okay
The bunch of fun places outside of TOT and RNRC

I second the flame tree, great chicken. Also Yak and Yeti counter service is a new must for my family. The chicken fried rice is excellent, large portions. The best place to get a counter service burger is Cosmic Rays in MK. They have an unlimited toppings bar which includes cooked mushrooms, onions, and the obvious toppers like lettuce, tomato, etc. I've overheard many people say they just make their own salads for free there with the toppings. (no comment)

Flame Tree BBQ in AK is great.

Tangierine Cafe in Epcot is our favorite!

WPE in DTD is incredible.

CHH and Cosmic Rays in MK, both are very good.

I only have 1 MUST DO counter service at WDW and that's Sunshine Seasons in the Land Pavilian at Epcot. We love this place! They offer a nice selection of foods that are fresh, tasty and fairly healthy! It's a really nice change from all the burger/dog/pizza places.
We also like Columbia Harbor House, very good chowder and fish and chips, but I always get the hummus sandwich with broccoli slaw. It's amazing!

Magic Kingdom: Cosmic Ray's Starlight Cafe.

Epcot: Electric Umbrella.

Hollywood Studios: ABC Commissary.

Animal Kingdom: Flame Tree Barbecue & Pizzafari.

Downtown Disney Marketplace: Earl of Sandwich.

Contemporary: Contempo Cafe.

Grand Floridian: Gasparilla's Grill & Games.

I would really recommend Tangerin Cafe (in Morocco) at Epcot and Flame Tree BBQ at Animal Kingdom.

These are the only two that I think are "very good". We also think Sunshine Seasons and Columbia Harbor House are decent.

Any suggestions for a good counter service for 2?? We are doing a table lunch and now need dinner - we will be in MK.

Also like Columbia Harbour House at the MK. They have non-burger offerings and the place is usually not that crowded, especially if you take your food upstairs. Nice respite from the hustle-bustle of the park.

Maybe its not the "best food" but we have gotten very fond of the Mexican Cantina place (Counter Service in Mexico) at Epcot. We like Mexican food and the outdoor seating next to the lake is very nice.

Recently discovered the CS in Japan (up the stairs) ... never knew it was there until a couple years ago (go figure!). Good food as well.

Now the best counter service, especially if you are on the meal plan, is Wolfgang Puck at the Marketplace end of DTD. YUMMY! And a very, very good value for your CS credit.

Also a huge fan of Earl of Sandwich ... also in the Markplace.

Another vote for Flame Tree BBQ at AK - it's now a 'must do' for us. It also has some nice seating areas by the water.

MK - Pecos Bill's
Ep - Cantina de San Angel (Mexico)
HS - IMO no "great" counter-service here
AK - again IMO no "great" counter service here

Sunshine Seasons in the Land Pavilion in Epcot.
The best value for your CS credit.
The food is great with a nice variety.
The desserts are amazing!!!

PECOS BILL - hands-down the best burgers in the whole WDW IMHO!! It would not be a trip to WDW without going to Pecos at least 2-3 times for real!! Its the best :goodvibes I'm getting hungry just thinking about it!

MK-Cosmic Rays, Pecos Bill, Pinocchio Village Haus
Epcot-Electric Umbrella
AK- Flame Tree BBQ, Yak & Yeti
DHS-Backlot Express

If you are at Disney Quest, try the food there. They had baked ziti, pizza and paninis. We had the zita and the kids had the pizza. The pizza were not baked until we ordered them. It was the best CS food we had. Flame Tree BBQ was very good also.

I respectfully disagree regarding the fish & chips. Both my husband and I did not like the fish & chips walk-up next to Rose & Crown. We thought the fish tasted like frozen fish sticks fried in hot oil. I'd be curious to see if we were the only ones who didn't like the food.

Also, there was very limited seating to eat the food. Some very nice people offered to share their table with us. This was the only counter service we did not like.
