We hardly ever eat counter service meals. We do on every trip, but maybe for a lunch or two. Is it me or do they all seem to pretty much all have the same thing: Cheeseburgers, hot dogs, pizza, nuggets, BBq chicken. Plus don't they have an A/C place for you to sit in? I don't remember any places that do have A/C. We do eat at counter service type meals 1 or 2 x per trip, but mainly for those reasons. Is there something I am missing? I really like the Earl of Sandwich..that was a nice addition and different. How do those who do a lot of counter service do it?

The new Seasons at the Land in Epcot is all inside and has a variety of choices including, chicken curry, flatbreads, chicken, soups and salads.

We ate their twice last week and there were lots of options.

We mainly eat counter service. Yes there are burgers, dogs, fries & chicken but if you know where to look you can get great salads & other kinds of sandwiches.

Just about every place we have eaten at has had a/c. The only one I can think of that doesn't is in Mexico but I need that yummy taco salad. Oh & if you want a Turkey leg but you can always go inside a counter service place and eat it if you so desired.

Here are some of our favorites that we eat at every time-The Land's food court (I hope it still has the great chicken cesear salad), Mexico's outside place-Cantina de San Angel, El Pirata Y El Perico in Adventureland in the MK-yummy taco salad we get from there. Cosmic Rays, Pinochio's Village Haus, Pizzafari, Peco's Bills, Electric Umbrella-Thank you, now my mouth is watering!

Thanks for the tips! I do remember eating in the Electric Umbrella and it was inside. And Pecos Bills and the Tiki Place....Funny thing...we got hot dogs near the turkey leg stand one year and I was walking across the street there and all of a sudden 1 or 2 birds accosted me and stole the 2 hot dogs out of my hand and left the buns. :rotfl2: Maybe that's why I eat indoors?! I'm going to have to scope out more counter service places because our food budget is always so high, but I need a variety. Classic chicken ceasar salad sounds yummy!!! My DH would love the taco salad, too. Thanks again!

Our family has enjoyed the following counter service for years:
el Pirate (MK)
Pecos Bills (last summer they had sauteed mushrooms and grilled
onions added to the fixins bar...yummmm...) MK
Electric Umbrella (EPCOT)
Yakitori (Japan) great beer choices here also
Backlot Express (MGM)
FlameTree BBQ (AK) probably the healthiest Counter choices anywhere
Each of you order something different and then share to get maximum exposure to menu. We do a minimum of 1 sit down a day but mix in counter to keep our kids full and our budget in line. :earsgirl: :earsboy: :earsboy: :earsgirl:
