Since Cantina is closed, can you get quick service food at the tequila place at Mexico, or is San Angel in for Table service the only option? Also, at Tequila, can you "stroll in" with a tot in a stroller and get a table to sip a margarita with my hubby and share some guacamole with the family, or is it a 21 and older only kind of place? Please let me know! Thanks!

No, you can't use DDP CS credits at the tequila bar if that is what you are asking. You can use them at the temporary food kiosk in Mexico though. La Cava del Tequila sells appetizer portions, not full meals. Ordering enough from them to make a full meal will cost you.

Children are allowed in La Cava but it is not a child-friendly place.

Thanks! I didn't know there was a temporary food kiosk in Mexico pavillion. Can you get chips/guacamole? Also, do they serve margaritas or can you get one somewhere else nearby? Thank you!

The temporary QS place has a menu posted on Allears.

Not much on it. And it looks like you'll have to try elsewhere for your margaritas. :sad2: It is just temporary - I am hoping the new place will be open by October - I do love my Mexican food!

You can purchase margaritas either inside at La Cava, or at the frozen margarita stand outside the Mexico pavilion. It is on the opposite side of the pavilion from the temporary food stand.

People do bring little kids into La Cava (for guacamole I think you will have to go there). It's quite a small area, may not have a lot of room for strollers, and there's nothing for the kids to do there.

Yes they have a margarita stand outside of Mexico on the other side from the food stand. The problem is that other than on the ground there is little to no seating.

Chips and guacamole were on the menu in January. My girlfriend and I shared a plate during a lazy Epcot afternoon because we were hungry before our Tokyo Dining reservation. Keep in mind there is no seating available. We enjoyed our snack while sitting on the stairs leading to the Mexico pyramid.

Thanks for asking this. We always grab a XX lager there and we won't miss it, it seems ;)
Now, I will miss the nachos :guilty: but am sure I can survive :rotfl2:
The kid gets his coke and churro and we're set....:cheer2:

Thanks for the info. Sitting on the steps, people watching and enjoying some yummy Mexican snacks and drinks sounds great!
