Counter Service Closing hours

Do the counter service restaurants close when the park does or before?

We are headed to the Magic Kingdom in December and the park is supposed to close at 7pm for Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party (we don't have tickets to stay late). Can I plan on heading into Cosmic Rays about 6:50 and getting dinner, then leaving the park at around 7:30, or will Cosmic Rays be closed? Or will we get kicked out right at 7:00?

Good question.
We were at MNSSHP on September 28th and went to Peco's Bills for a snack. We then went outside to make a call. While we were sitting on the porch, 3 CM's were standing/monitoring the door.
A couple without wristbands tried to enter and they would not let them. The CM's were very nice about it, but the couple was not happy.
This was the first time I've seen this.

Just checked with hubby and it was about 6:40pm when this happened -- so I would get in earlier to eat if you can.
