Okay what is a really good one ??
thanks Diane

i like the fish-n-chips stand in UK/world showcase. also, the land food court is opening again w/new selections. what about walking over to boardwalk to big river grill and brewery or to the beach club and beaches and cream? although these are not counter service, they are usually fairly fast w/service. :earboy2:

Is beaches and cream on the myw plaN? is it considered a sitdown?
thanks Diane

I second the fish -n- chips in the UK. Good food for a quick lunch and not very expensive either.

My favorites for counter service at Epcot are Cantina de San Angel, Tangerine Cafe, and Boulangerie Patisserie. :)

Another vote for the fish n chips in the UK. We get it at least one time each visit...mmmmm!

If we are doing counter service, we usually actually eat in the America Pavillion. Nothing special, just has the basics of other counter service areas. It has a nice air-conditioned seating area though.

yes, beaches and cream is considered a sit-down. not sure if it is on the meal plan.

Cantina de San Angel, Tangerine Cafe, Yakitori House, they're all good.

I suggest eating around the world. Have a sample from each country - that's the best way to do WS.

We plan on sampling our way around the world showcase on our next trip. That way we get to try it all! Yum:tongue: :drinking1

I would avoid Cantina San Angel at all costs! It is the only restaurant that we have eaten at at WDW that the food was absolutely inedible. We are experienced Mexican food eaters (and love Mexican food), including authentic, Tex-Mex, and other varieties (we have five different sit down Mexican places in our small city alone, all different styles and types of Mexican food from different areas of Mexico). The Cantina's food was unappetizing to look at and even more unappetizing to try to swallow. We have had good meals at the Land pavilion's food court (though the new variation may or may not be as good), Liberty Inn in the American Adventure is solid American fare, the counter service in Germany is quite good, and the Yorkshire Fish stand in Great Britain is also quite good. Morocco and Japan also have a good reputation, but I have not personally eaten at either land's counter service restaurants.

Tangerine Cafe in Morocco & Yakatori House in Japan are our favorites.
