Counter Service and sugar free dessert???

What suggestions do you have for counter service locations and sugar free desserts. My MIL is going with us in May and she is diabetic. Is fruit offered or another drink or what?

I know Cosmic Ray's Starlight Cafe has a sugar free brownie, not sure about other counter services. The ice cream carts have a strawberry fruit bar, that has no sugar added. I know the food courts offer fruit, as for drinks they have diet coke and bottled water, if she doesn't want coffe/ tea or juice.

Dh tried several sugar-free options in Dec...most of them were not good. I would specifically ask for fruit or an extra drink in place of dessert. I know you mentioned CS but anyone reading this...AVOID the sugar free option at Coral Reef. We still are unsure what it was supposed to be.

Strawberry Parfait - no sugar added that you find around Hollywood Studios is really good. I had 2 of those on our last stay, and even my BF who isn't a diabetic loved it!

If I remember right the yogurt option at Cosmic Ray's is also sugar free.

Juat last night, we ate at Pecos Bill's Tall Tales Cafe in MK and DH had a strawberry Yoplait lite for dessert.

I think the things mentioned in this tread and the allears page will be a help when I go to WDW in November, I am fairly new to diabetes and trying hard to keep my sugar levels under control. One thing I have noticed is I rarely find sugar free items tasteing funny like in the beginning I guess one gets use to the artificial sweetners

I agree with the brownie yuk! But boardwalk bakery has a wonderul no sugar added cheeseecake you can use snack credit for and the no sugar added dessert trio at Wave is amazing!!! DH liked mine better than his. It had cheescake, chocolate mint mousse and berries..yum! I had gastric-by pass surgery one year ago this january (lost 127 lbs)and still do not do sugar so these were just amazing!
