The last time our whole family went we didn't buy food--we either carried it with us or we went back to our cabin. This time it's just me and dh. I wanted to have some idea of the better counter places to stop at for lunch/dinner. Otherwise, my dh will stop at the first place he sees--which means it could be burgers or hotdogs--and I'm not really a burger/hotdog kind of person and he's not really the kind of person to walk around for an hour reading menues.. Any suggestions as to what the best place is to stop?

Columbia Harbor House is a favorite of ours. They have chicken and fish and salads - seems to be something for everyone.

Our new favorite is Cosmic Rays--lots of different choices--burgers, hot dogs, chicken, turkey wraps, bbq pork sandwiches and ribs; Columbia Harbor House is our second choice (it used to be first)--chicken nuggets and fish, tuna sandwich, salads, clam chowder soup, chili, followed by Pinocchio Village Haus--pizzas and salads. If you go to the home page you can pull up full menus.

I thought the pizza at Pinnochio Haus was much better than I expected. Fish and chips at Columbia Harbour House were good. The selections at Cosmic Rays were good as well. The nice thing about Cosmic Rays is that the food choices are separated into three different sections. If DH wants a burger and you want a wrap or BBQ, you can get in separate lines and both get your stuff at a similar time. It seems to keep the wait down. The balcony at Cosmic Rays is also a good location to sit and watch the parade or the fireworks.

I like Columbia Harbor House too in the MK. THis time my kids wanted Pinocchio's and the parks were crowded so I couldn't even leave the kids w DH and eat a quiet lunch. My DH grabbed a hot dog at Casey's- it was good- I sneaked a bite. I also like the chicken wrap at Pecos Bills.

You can see many WDW menus in the dining section at allearsnet .com.

I would recommend Columbia Harbor House, too. Pinocchio's Village Haus has personal pizzas, sandwiches, salads, etc. If you do want burgers go to Pecos Bill's in Frontierland. If you do want hot dogs, go to Casey's on Main St.

You can check out the menus at:

There's not much duplication, you can only get burgers at Cosmic Rays and Pecos Bills and hot dogs only at Casey's and maybe at some carts.

Every land has somewhat unique food. Now if you you go from park to park you will see the same food as the other parks with some exceptions.

We were pleasantly surprised with Sunshine seasonings at EPCOT. I found something for everyone in our party including my one son who only eats about 5 different foods.

Some of our family favorites, in no particular order:

Pecos Bills -- an old favorite standby :)
Cosmic Rays (our teenage son's favorite) :thumbsup2
Columbia Harbor House -- tried this last trip for the first time and were pleasantly surprised by the good food :goodvibes

We really enjoyed Columbia Harbor House. The chowder, fish and chips, tuna sandwich and Lighthouse sandwich (vegetarian) were all so delicious!
