And I'm back! That hot African sun took its toll, I'm burnt to a crisp!
We got there early and checked in about 10. We decided to splurge a little bit with a breakfast at Boma. The food was good, and they provided us with a nice little "Happy Anniversary" card signed by all the African CM's and a cute little desert sampler.
Since the room wasn't ready, we decided to hit the pool for a while. It was HOT yesterday, so we just kind of parked there until the room was ready about 3 (hence the burnt skin).
After getting settled in, we headed to The Mara for lunch. I got the chicken sandwich, and it was amazing. Our little pager thing was broken, so when we realized our food was ready (half an hour after ordering) it was cold. The CM behind the counter (Jane) insisted in making a fresh order, and comped it for us
Rose and Lauren were also very nice and helpful while we were there.
We went back to the room and watched the animals for a little while (ok, a few hours) then headed back down to The Mara for dinner. We also got a couple of movies from Zawadi (The Rescuers Down Under and Bednobs and Broomsticks). We went back to the room and passed out, and woke up this morning just in time for checkout
