Whooo hooo for the less than 100 hours! I love that too.
Happy early birthday to Henry!!
Seems like a lot of us have had a crazy week..I had all intentions of finishing up my TR and posing my PTR, but once again doggie drama has gotten in the way. She'll be ok, but hopefully this is not something we'll have to ever deal with again...lesson learned.
I missed this post earlier - sorry about that!
Can you believe we are now down to just 48 hours? 48 hours form now I'll be at the airport!
Doggie drama is not good!

I'm glad she'll be okay....doesn't sound like a very fun adventure
at all.
You know that Dixie Chicks' song? Earl's gotta die? I keep singing that to myself whenever I'm watching the weather or reading about it.
Everything will work out! Don't worry yourself over it.
As for my Birthday plans, we are renting a pontoon boat with my parents and hopefully my brother again...as long as Earl cooperates.

Yes! I do know that song! That is soooo funny! And perfect for this situation.
You are right, everything WILL work out. Whatever happens, happens. It's not worth getting worked up about. Last night Joe and I briefly discussed it, and the conversation sorta fickled out without a plan being made...so I think we are both taking the approach of "let's wait and see". Hopefully Earl changes his ways.
Your birthday plans sound fantastic!!! Earl would be ruining one too many important dates, he's gotta die!

I was just think of that Dixie Chick song too!!!!

Ugh I think my niece put it on my iPhone!!!
I landed in the tail end of a hurricane 2 Augusts ago....I'll tell my man Jim Cantore from TWC to make sure it is gone for you
Tracy
I remember the video from that song....it was so goofy!! The song is waaaaay catchy, if it were on my phone I would be humming it ALL DAY LONG!
Thank you for letting Jim Cantore know I need Earl gone.

How was landing in a hurricane?
Oh.

I don't have a toddler, I don't know these things

I was trying to think of WHY it might be in there...top of my list was to reserve space for souvenirs.
I know, I figured...you just wait!

All sorts of random things end up in places they are NOT supposed to be. The other night when I went to bed I discovered Joe and I had more toys in our bed than Henry had in his!!!!
Nice idea for saving space for souvies though!!!
Congrats on being packed. I agree Earl, Earl, go away!!!! I hope Joe will get out without any problems. I am actualy going to be in VA starting on Wed so I am being partially selfish on hoping Earl stays at sea. Not to mention if it head towards RI my parents will have to cut their trip short b/c of my Dad's job and needing to be nearby for a hurricane/state of emergency.
Any hoo.....hope you did well spending time today to help pass this time until you leave. Just in case I don't get on the computer tom or Wed a big Happy Birthday to Mr. Henry!!!
Another day/trip Earl could ruin! Earl you GOTTA GO! I haven't caught up on the weather yet today...perhaps he has heard our pleas!
Thank you for the birthday wishes for Henry! I haven't told him yet that his birthday is TOMORROW...I think I might keep it quiet today so he'll sleep tonight.
I hope the weather will cooperate!! There is a fabulous thread on the transportation board on what to do when flights are cancelled etc. due to weather issues. It is full of hints from experienced travelers. I will try to find it for you.

I am glad that you checked in online! I think one thing they do is to assign rooms according to your estimated arrival time. Ever since they introduced online check-in my impression is that many more people report that they were able to get into their room way before 3 pm. No scientific evidence, but just my feelings...
That thread is really interesting! They all say "make a plan"...I suppose we really should. Depending on what Earl is doing tonight we'll do that. I guess the plan will be for me and H to go and Joe to join us when he can! Might be a "Mommy & Me" trip for a while....but I hope not!
I would love it if our room was ready! I hope you are right. It would be nice to freshen up, have a "home" and ditch the stroller while H and I run around and explore the BW!
Oh my gosh, I need a big honking suitcase and to consult that site! How easy would travel be with just one bag?! Good work!
I will keep my fingers crossed for Joe and that Earl leaves his plans alone.
Have a great day tomorrow, run around the park, have fun, tire yourselfs out and go home and nap...and by the time you wake it will be THAT much closer to leaving!
That site explains to use a smaller bag - one without rollers...because they do make a bag heavier and take up space...however, with a child in a stroller, rollers are practically necessary! I just take their packing tips pretty much and it has helped a ton! Joe, Henry and I even did one trip where everything was packed into 2 small carry-ons! Even diapers!
Henry slept in a bit this morning, so we are having a lazy morning...we have a couple errands to run this morning, then it will be nap time, then this afternoon we'll hit up the park for running around! Tonight I have a small to do list...I think I'll be exhausted by the end of the day...hopefully Henry will be too!
