Countdown to the Clown! A September PTR - Updated 9/13 - TR LINK

BAG AND SHOE UPDATE!

After talking bags and shoes in my replies, I was driven to Amazon.com. ;)
I found, what looks to be, an excellent stroller organizer. Our current stroller has NONE, not even a cup holder. I have wanted one of these since we moved to NYC - our stroller is like our car since we walk everywhere. This will be used every single day before and after the trip!

With that big 'ol pocket, I am near certain we can leave the DVC bag IN THE ROOM!! I love that bag, it's a great bag...but one less thing to carry into the parks is always a goooooooood thing!

And naturally I was forced to look at the Crocs. :rolleyes1 I liked the flip flops. I liked the style I already have. I liked the other sandals...then I found a pair for $17. The Lady. How could I say no? Plus, they are GREEN! Kinda kooky and werid---just like me. ;)

I also picked up a little something for Henry to use as his autograph book (thank you to Jill for the idea, I saw it in one of Brooklynn's pictures!)

I had a code of some sort on my account for Amazon Prime, so I got free 2-day shipping AND I had earned money online a while back that I put into an Amazon gift code to bring my grand total to...

EIGHT BUCKS!

:yay:

Henry just woke up and wants to put in some smilies: :confused3 pirate::scared1:...ooh he's letting ME pick one! :surfweb: ooh, I get to pick TWO! :rotfl:

Well, I guess the shoes are good, right?? I'm not really in the know there. I did expand my footwear horizons though and bought sandals for the first time this summer. Bringing my vast shoe repository to one pair each of : tennis, brown dress, black dress, sandals, flippies. So there you go. I guess I'm taking baby steps. (Get it? Steps, shoes....nevermind.)

Anywho, the stroller mesh thingy looked like it would come in handy. You could stick in a camera body, a couple of lenses, cleaning cloths, spare batteries, hot shoe flash, memory cards, and a table tripod and still have room for a diaper. Maybe. If it was an off brand.

Hope you guys have a great day! Take care!

WOW Brook! All for $8?!! You go girl!!:thumbsup2

We have that organizer...is it the Maclaren one? Just to warn you...it stinks are a grown up cup holder....it leans so your drink spills...so I always have to drink a lot of the top of a fountain soda so it's not leaking as I walk. But it does store a lot!!!

I have to look into that book....so cute! :cutie:

Love that Henry is adding smilies!! Coley is here, he wants to add some, too! pirate::santa:

Here is Henry modeling the top choice in bag for this gal:

The Baggalini.

Henry! Noooo! :rotfl2:

Hilarious!

And the “big” park bag will be our most expensive bag…

The DVC Member canvas bag. It really is a nice bag, perfect for our child needs, snacks, toys, etc. I didn't bring it one trip and regretted it!

We have one of those too. I didn't notice the "caution" tag on ours...probably should have read it. It probably said something about finances.

More talk about the jalapeño pretzels is making me hungry :rotfl2: I'm glad you know where to look and others have said they weren't hard to find.

Some of my fave apps for traveling are the weather apps - especially ones with good radar where you can zoom in tightly. I have the usual weather channel and accuweather but the one we like the most for the radar is called "my radar". I like to have a flight tracker app as well but I just made me a shortcut for flightstats.com since it's more user friendly and free. Google Earth is a fave of ours too and it's cool to zoom in on the disney sights. :thumbsup2. I'm sure you know there are a few disney radio apps and also wdw park hours. My fave would have to be solitaire! :cool1: yes the iPhone will require it's own update!!! :worship:

Love the cute clothes too! :lovestruc

Naturally.

GB, you're TWO pair ahead of my BF. Means I need to prod him to buy more! Kudos for being ahead of the game!

:lmao:

I am really enjoying the running! I remember when you told me you got into it and how I wanted to want to run. :rotfl: Now I'm there! Er---well...I'm getting there. I'm amazed at my ab muscles! There is still a layer of chub, but there are MUSCLES under there! :faint:

Yes, I remember that conversation as well! :goodvibes I tried to tell you that I was just like you: running was the worst thing that could happen to me when I was at school. And now I really enjoy it! I still have days where I really have to make myself go out, but I always feel better afterwards. :goodvibes

In school we had this teacher who tortured us with the cooper test every four weeks or so. It is a test which measures your stamina: you have to run for 12 minutes and the fitter you are the further you can go. Of course we did nothing between those tests in gym class to actually improve our fitness levels. So of course I did not get any better. I hated those days and 12 minutes running seemed like an hour long ordeal... :scared1: I failed this test every time!!

I run a 12 min yard...if that counts for anything.

You will :lovestruc your iPhone :goodvibes Let me know if you need any app tips or help...I am uber geeky with my phone :rotfl2:
What a fun update with your Disney wardrobe...(the best kind of wardrobe there is ;)) Henry is the best model!!! Adorable :)
I was laughing right out loud when you said your DVC tote was your most expensive bag....sure is!!!
Cute Crocs!!! Love the color....guess I am kooky too!! :upsidedow

Whew! Just read through from top to bottom. Good thing I had a food break in the middle (yummy pretzels) and some great pics of Henry to keep me going. Another great PTR Brook!:thumbsup2

All caught up Brook! Your plans sound fantastic!

I love you list of snack! Yummy!!!!! I really want to try that Cream Cheese Pretzel and frozen coke!

I love, love, love all your shirts!!! LOVE them! One of my upcoming posts will have my WDW outfits in it!

BTW, I sent you a message on Facebook! Did you get it?

Not an odd question! :goodvibes In my Baggalini I usually have my stuff - and in the past have had a PassPorter book, which took up a lot of the room in the main pocket, but I liked having it handy. I carry a few things for Joe too - like his binoculars. In the big park bag we have a change of clothes, diapers, wipes, glow sticks, a few random toys for Henry in case he needs a distraction, and sun screen - it's not full, but it has quite a bit in it. HOWEVER, your post made me realize I might be able to ditch the park bag and just use the baggalini since we aren't using a PassPorter this trip (going to try to just use my new phone for all the notes/info). And I just scoped out a stroller organizer (ours doesn't have one at all) on Amazon that has a big pocket that would easily fit diapers, wipes, etc. So the park bag might be left in the room! :yay: The thought of not having that thing completely excites me. It's a great bag, but its annoying having THAT much with us. And once Henry is potty-trained we will hopefully need less. :thumbsup2

It was really nice on our last trip, when my DS was potty trained. And only once did we have a real problem with him needing to go when it wasn't a good time. And like you said he cuts down on things you need.

Thanks for the info. It's what I was thinking. We typically have my DH with a video camera bag, with a little extra space for a few small things. I have a large camera bag for camera, phone, money and cards. And then we have another bag for stuff, extra clothes for DS, glow sticks, snacks for DS , autograph book and other misc things. But I'm hoping to ditch the large camera bag, go with a smaller camera and put most of the things in a bag like your Baggalini, instead of having a large bag such as your large bag. Even the smallest thing is so difficult sometimes for us planners, isn't it. :)

LOVE the organizer for the stroller. I swear they never had anything like that when our kids were little (okay, that was 20+ years ago...but still ).

WOW what a great deal Brook!!! I must learn your ways LOL!!!!

Love the green Crocs....makes me want to go look and see if I can find a pair!!!

NICE HUNTING!!

How did I get so behind- so many things to catch up on!!! :lmao:

First, you asked about our room at the Boardwalk. I don't think we requested anything- it was just luck of the draw! But you could just request something overlooking one of the pools and I think you'll get a great view no matter what!

Yay for getting an iphone! You are going to love it- I don't know what I ever did without mine! The notes app (comes preloaded) is probably my most useful as far as keeping all my shopping lists, etc on it. It would be a great place to take notes for the TR! My favorite Disney apps are eTicket WDW, which is the DIS app; Mouse Memo, which is great for organizing all of your ressie numbers and also has all the menus, WDW Lines, which is the Touring Plans app; and Undercover Tourist, which has a little bit of all of the above!

Love Henry the bag model! :rotfl: I agree, Baggalini should market him!

I have that Maclaren organizer too, and I agree with Kristen, it does spill drinks! It's great for a normal sized water bottle though, just nothing too heavy. And the actual bag is great for all the diapers and wipes and stuff- would be perfect for a ziploc bag with a change of clothes too! :thumbsup2

I'm sure I had more to comment on, but I will have to catch up in the morning! Must go to bed!
