Countdown to the Clown! A September PTR - Updated 9/13 - TR LINK

I know! I know! Between the popcorn, the Mickey Waffle and never riding HM I'm hardly a DISer! Popcorn is very high on the list because Henry will gobble it as well. Very good to know what stand its sold at in Epcot! I know exactly what one you are talking about too. I will try to keep that in mind, a perfect snack for munching around the world! Do they sell them in the little souvie buckets there too? I know MeMom has gotten the buckets before Fantasmic! and I have a loose DIS meet for F!, plus, that would distract Henry from all the waiting...hmmm...:scratchin (sorry, rambling "out loud" here!)

Are you allergic to coconut?

You've never ridden HM? Now I am really worried about you. Yes, they have them in the buckets there as well (I think they have the buckets at all of them). You can ramble any time you want.

No, not allergic to coconut. It's just nobody in my family likes it.

Hold the phone!

You have never ridden HAUNTED MANSION!??

:faint::faint::faint::faint::faint::faint::faint:

If you haven't ridden it by the time our meet rolls around, guess what we are going to do? ;)

Oh, your snack list makes me hungry! Those cream cheese pretzels are SO good!

I'll have to show David the pictures when he is up from his nap- we were talking about Mickey bars this morning and I tried to describe them to him. He was so excited- ice cream AND chocolate? Together?! :lmao:

I know what you mean about them getting more opinionated as they get older- boy, 3 is going to be interesting!!!

Here are my pictures from our view at the Boardwalk. It was a great spot! We looked to the left directly at the Swan. I also put in a couple of room shots, though I'm sure you have seen the rooms before! This was in 2004 too, so they may have updated decor now.

955903022_vuvvb-S-1.jpg

That is so cute about David getting all excited about the Mickey Bar!!! He'll be over the moon once he gets his hands on one!!!

Was your room a Preferred View? I LOVE it!!! To watch the boats going back and forth...:cloud9: Do you remember what you requested to get that?

The decor has been updated just slightly, but is generally the same. I don't ever get tired of looking at the pictures - so I don't mind! :goodvibes Post away!!!!

I am sooooo happy you were able to keep your DVC....I was afraid to ask after you had moved and all...I knew you had this new trip coming up but :confused3 Such happy news
On to the food :rotfl2:You have never had Disney popcorn? :scared1:
You MUST try the Yorkshire Pudding...both mine and LL's mothers make this with a roast and usually for special dinners. I love it! I went to R&C in May and had the steak and fish....soooooo good! I am not usually a fried fish person but this was delicious and I can't believe I have passed it up all of these years there!
So sweet watching Henry grow up through the years and I just adore your traditions...such a wonderful idea!

Tracy

Thank you! I still find it hard to believe sometimes that we are able to keep the DVC and are going on a trip! I always had hope we would swing one at a Value or something, and would price them out all the time, but it was always WAY too much money. So to be on the other side of all that is unbelievable. We are blessed!!!!!!!

I know it! I'm a shame about the popcorn, isn't it? It's very high on my list of things to try - it would feed both me and Henry and the bucket would be a perfect souvie.

I love steak and fried fish, so this is sounding like a perfect combo!
Surf and Turf - Grilled Steak and Fried Fish with Yorkshire Pudding, Irish Potato Gratin, seasonal Vegetables, and Shallot Gravy $24.99

YUMMMMMM! That just might be my choice! And it sounds HUGE, so plenty big enough to share with the H-Man. :thumbsup2

A lot of those snacks sound yummy. I love disney popcorn.

I've heard so many great things about the popcorn! I really want to try it!

I am so hungry right now.

I can't believe that you didn't mention the cinnamon rolls at Mainstreet Bakery. I just love them. Last time we made a breakfast out of our snacks credits there with no problem. No pic though.

My DS loves the Mickey ice cream sandwiches, instead of the Mickey bar you showed. He likes the face.

We have never tried the Itzakadoozie. What flavor is it actually?

Less than a month away for you guys. So cool.

I'm actually not a big fan of cinnamon rolls! :lmao: But, Joe is! And he loves those!!! If they were covered in caramel and nuts, I'd be all over it, but the icing just isn't my thing. Though, I haven't had one in YEARS, so maybe my tastes have changed. :confused3

That's a good point about the Mickey sandwich - I bet Henry would like that one more as well. We'll have to try it!

The Itzakadooze is 3 flavors, if I remember correctly its Lime, Cherry and Lemon. It's yummy!

28 days to go!!!

MMmm, food! The cream cheese pretzels are so good. I tried one last August because LL mentioned them in her TR. Very yummy!

OMG, those ice cream sandwiches look really good too. Might have to get one of those when we go...

The cream cheese pretzel (and slushy Coke) are top of my list for MK snacks. I must get the Nuggets, but aside from that, my only item that I am going to hunt down is that pretzel! Anything else will just be a bonus. I'll try to squeeze in a Dole Whip.

The ice cream sandwich is amazing! I think it's only around $4 too - and can EASILY be shared. They are huuuuuuuuuuuge. You can usually choose chocolate chip, sugar cookie, or white chocolate macadamia nut!

The jalapeno pretzels are not to be missed! That may be my favorite snack ever. They used to have them at MK and DHS, but the only place I was able to find them on my last trip was a little snack cart back by the safari ride at AK. Yum!

Thank you for the "where" answer! On our first trip I remember having a "spicy" pretzel at DHS, but it wasn't good - or spicy. I wish I could remember what it was...I think it was just old too, had been made hours ago and the taste had long left it. I've heard many good things about the jalapeno pretzel at AK, so it's gotta be tried!

Brook!!!!!!!!

How did I not know you started a PTR?!!!!!! :confused3

So far behind, need to catch up, STAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:thumbsup2

:welcome: Glad you found me now!!!!

Handy links in the first post! :goodvibes

Well when you have been to Disney for Christmas and New Years you probably wouldnt' think any crowd was too bad! :lmao: touringplans is predicting crowd levels of 8 to 10 from the 12th to the end of March. Feb 27 thru the 11th....level of 2 to 5 (mostly 3's).

Thank you Thank you Thank you! for posting that the ice cream sandwich is from the Main Street Bakery.....that was one of my things to research. I am SO having one next trip.

That is TRUE! :rotfl: I remember standing in line for 45 minutes and thinking "This isn't bad." NEVER would we have done that prior to the Christmas trip!!

8-10 eh? Blah. Yuck. Hmmm...I gotta take this info back to the husband. We might need to re-plan. Thank you for the tips! As Liesa says, you are the GAG. (and I totally can't remember what the acronym was for...Great Advice Guru? )

And you are welcome on the ice cream sandwich! They are AWESOME. And enormous! You can easily share it (if you want...!). And I think they are only around $4...I know you can use a snack credit for them last year too. :thumbsup2 You can pick what kind of cookie you want - they usually have sugar, chocolate chip and white chocolate macadamia nut.

Love that you put up a table of contents, I didn't get to read everyones comments but I'm officially caught up! YAY!!:cool1:

So glad things are working so well for you guys in NYC, that you got to keep DVC (yay!!!!!!!!!!!) and I love, love, love the pics from your traditions, I've read all (or most) of your PTR/TRs and it was fun to relive them again here!

You're so close!!!! Wish we were going a few weeks sooner so we could meet you there!!!:goodvibes

Oh good! Glad you found the links! That makes it so much easier.

We are missing so many people by just a few weeks, or even days! I do have a few meets lined up, so that is great - but I'm bummed about everyone we are missing!

Do you have PTR for your September trip?

Your snack list is making my stomach growl. They all look so yummy. My dh would love the almond pretzel, almonds are his favorite.

The almond pretzel is so very good. It's got the savory side with the bread of the pretzel, then a sweet icing and then the almonds. It's sweet, but not too sweet. I think there is a version with raisins as well.

we stayed on the resort mostly and hit the beach at our resort! We did a St Lucia land/sea tour that took us on a jeep tour during the am....lunch at ladera...and then a catameran tour around the island in the afternoon. We went into town one day shopping and that was a waste. The items for sale are junk mostly and the cabbies try to get you to take their cab. One asked if we wanted him to take us to his boat...he points to a huge ship...we go''You mean the Royal Cariebbean that is docked there?" I DON;t THINK SO! LOL!

Do not take nice jewlrey with you into town. we were told to leave ours in the safe in the hotel! Any jewlrey they think you are a rich american and will try to rob you! Thats what we were told anyways. we did not wear any into town and did not have problems.

Wonderful tips on St. Lucia! Thank you!!! We will probably be mostly sticking to the resort as well - it seems like there is a lot to do there. Plus, Joe loves the beach - and Henry will not be with us, so we gotta take advantage of being able to do NOTHING for while!

The jalepeno pretzels at AK are yummy!

Since Easter is not till late April next year, March might not be as crowded.

We are doing the 7-night Eastern Caribbean leaving on March 26th. I am so excited!

Another vote for the jalapeno pretzel! :yay:

I am really hoping you are right about March....the dates were working just perfectly with what we had scheduled....!

Ahhh, a cruise....we had one booked for this year, but we won't be able to swing it. Maybe next year!

These are soooo good!

So many wonderful choices, Brook. :thumbsup2

Aren't they? I tried schoolbread first, then the next trip tried this. Joe likes the schoolbread, I like the pretzel! Henry will take either. ;)

I'm here!

I might have to take you up on the postcards offer....and I will of course reciprocate for Henry when we are there in November. I'll PM you my address. :thumbsup2

Also - the FOOD! FOOD! FOOD! My stomach is doing twists and dips as we speak. And how in the name of all that is holy in this world did I NOT know about the coconut Mickeys?!?! I LOVE coconut!! :cheer2: Delish!!

You are SO CLOSE!!! Less than 1 month away!!!

:welcome: Sounds great on the postcard!!!! I will add you to the list. :goodvibes

The coconut Mickey heads are AWESOME! They sell them in a little 2 pack, but skip that - get the BOX. ::yes:: I brought these back for my co-workers at my old job after a trip and they devoured them! Everyone was raving about them. This time they are coming home for ME. (and Henry...and Joe...)

SNACKS !!! My favorite topic! Except of course, for meals! ;)

:rotfl: I love Disney food!!!

Quite a yummy line up you've got there. I am :rotfl: over your love note to the Norway pretzel. :lmao: That's some serious love you have going on there. ;)

It's the ice cream sandwich that most calls me. Can't wait to try it in October!!

I forgot I wrote that! :rotfl2: But, yes, it's a serious relationship. I just want to make sure it knows I haven't forgotten about it....:lovestruc ;)

Those ice cream sandwiches are awesome! We've gotten them twice now. A good price and so, so tasty. A bit difficult to eat since they are so big, but worth the effort!

Wow...my computer goes on the blink AGAIN for a few days and you have started your PTR and its already on pg 13 Im IN AGAIN and cant wait to take this ride with you
Since I have no trip in the works, Im so glad that you do!!! Sadly we probably wont go back until Nov '11
My poor dd2 (Alexa) tells me EVERYDAY that she wants to go to Dizzy World I love this, but it also makes me so sad that we wont be going back for awhile and she just doesnt understand time yet. We just went this past May........will I survive till next Nov?????
I also cant believe you havent had a Mickey waffle yet:scared1: You have been MISSING out. These are my favorite and I eat lots of them at Ohanas every trip You will be in LOVE
I'll be sitting here enjoying your planning:wave2:

:welcome: Glad you found me!!! I've been cruising over here, posting most everyday. I have a lot to cover and only 28 days left! :yay:

Oooh, November 2011. That stinks!! However, next year is when MK turns 40 - so maybe they will have a rockin' party!

That's so hard about Alexa!! She obviously had a great time in May! Survival techniques - Disney movies with Disney theme nights, TRs, and trips to the Disney store! It stinks though. :sad2:

I know! I think I might be the only DISer who hasn't tried one yet! :lmao: I just always crave other things versus a waffle for breakfast, but with the buffet, I can have the best of both worlds! And a Mickey waffle WILL BE MINE! :teeth:

Every time I read a post of yours, I realize how much we are riding the same wavelengths!! Pretzels! Spicy ones to boot!! :cloud9: Although, I'd have to go Minnie str. bars over an Itzak. Beloved almond pretzel, be mine!

You have good taste! ;) The Strawberry bars are awesome. I had one last September at AK when I was practically melting from the heat. I stood in a misting fan as I ate it. It was BLISS.

I was thinking about the Ultimate Touring Plan as well! :goodvibes It would be a lot of fun to meet you in WDW again, but I think it might be more likely that the possibility for a meet would come up in NYC at some time. After my first visit in 2008, NYC is very high on my list of places to visit (again) - I never made it into any museum while there and I love art!

Well, the UG Crowd Calendar has a significant rise in predicted crowds on March 12, February 27 to March 11 look pretty good, though. :goodvibes

Those things are absolutely wonderful!! Katharina and I got a small packet of them and never got around to eat them. We then packed it in the suitcase and at the airport I picked up another small packet to eat on the plane, which we did not eat either. So after the trip we both had a small packet each and a few weeks after the trip we talked about how good these were and why we did not get a large box.... :headache: We both loved them and I think they were our favourite snacks of the trip! :thumbsup2:thumbsup2

All your other snacks sound great, too! Well, besides the root beer float. Can't stand root beer. I think it is one of those acquired tastes you have to grow up with as a kid to like. Like marmite which all Australians seem to love. :sad2:

Woo! That would be AWESOME if you came to NYC! I'm a big art fan too - love the museums here! (though, it's hard to visit WITH a toddler!) It's hard to get all the sights in here done in one, or even two or three trips. There is so much. Please keep me posted of any plans! :goodvibes

That stinks about the crowds in March. I suppose the economy is making a bit of a comeback lately, so tourism is going back up....we are really going to have to re-think our dates! MeMom's trip lined up with us again, so that would have been nice to meet her again too...but there is MRYPPNS in late Feb...so I won't be without a meet!

Aren't those Mickey heads just wonderful? I didn't try one either until my co-workers started raving about them, so I had to take one (despite me getting it for them as a gift!) - and ooooh, yummy. A box is coming home this time!

I've heard that about root beer from more than one person. I had a friend for Korea who tried it once and couldn't even swallow it! He was so repulsed. We guzzle the stuff! I think Sleepy Hollow does cappuccino floats as well, which are tasty!

:thumbsup2

I love snacks. Especially Disney snacks. I'm not even sure I could pick a favorite but very high up on the list are Dole Whip Floats and Itzakadoozies.

But I stay away from pretzels...in Germany at least. There was this unfortunate incident with a pretzel and a duck and choking. And I wasn't the one choking. The duck was. Traumatizing I tell you. (The duck ended up A-OK though.) Those 'Do Not Feed The Birds' signs should be heeded.

I love Disney snacks too...a part of me just wants to skip the actual meals and snack my way around. I cannot pick a favorite...it would have to be done in categories! Favorite pretzel, favorite sweet, favorite MK snack, etc.

That is so sad about the duck!!! Oh my!!! I'm glad he was okay.

Oh, how I love Disney snacks!

Me toooooooooo! And it's fun to dream about them!

The snack list looks great. All the chocolately things look so yummy, but I can barely handle a bite of a Mickey bar with my allergy :sad2:. I didn't know about the root beer floats...I'm going to have to track that down!

OH (and yes, I know I'm late with this) and you're going to laugh, but - my request for Cape May...do they still have doughnuts with breakfast? Most places seem to have gotten rid of them and just left pastries.

Oh that stinks about the Mickey Bar! I don't think I remembered that you were allergic to them? Dairy?? But you can do a root beer float...?

That is not a silly request! I've got it down. :thumbsup2 I very much remember your love affair with the donuts. Joe ate like 28892 at Crystal Palace last September!! They are gone there? It is a SHAME, they were good! I will scope out Cape May and report back.

Clearly NOT a Disney Magical Moment. :scared1:

No joke! :sad2:

I'll take one of everything, please! :rotfl:

Your love letter to the sweet almond pretzel is classic!!! Love it! :lmao:

I, too, tried the Frozen Chai based on JenJolt's recommendation and enjoyed every last sip of it.

Wow, your snacks look amazing!! I think I will have to write down where to find some of them so I know where they are when everyone is hungry! The frozen chocolate Mickey head is a must! :thumbsup2
We always like the frozen lemonade in the Africa part of AK. Its really good with Cheetoes, I know... not very Disney-like but really good! :) The chocolate crepes in France are good too!
Our room at BWV was in the same section overlooking the quiet pool that the previous post from ptcrn showed. It is really a nice location. I loved being able to look out at the Swan and the canal going to DHS. You will hear the boats tooting their horns as they pass under the bridge... it's great! :thumbsup2

Funny! I never thought about the lemonade with Cheetos. It actually sounds pretty good to me. Sweet and salty. Yum! Your crepe comment made me remember that this is something Joe has wanted to try the past few trips, but I don't think he ever has...maybe I'll mooch a bite or two off of him if he gets one!

I loved those pictures! What a beautiful view! And yes - to see the boats going by and tooting their horns...ahhhhh :cloud9: Do you remember what you requested to get that view? Is it a preferred view?

We got a Spicy Jalapeño Pretzel at a cart across the way and down a little bit from the entrance to It's Tough To Be a Bug. The pretzel along with a frozen lemonade was fantastic!

ANOTHER vote for that jalapeno pretzel! And another location as well! I gotta hunt this baby down. The pretzel + lemonade sounds really, really good!

I was just stopping by to check out your PTR... I didn't read through it all yet but thanks for the links! I must say that we, as of today, have never been to the Boardwalk. We were so close last trip but it just didn't happen. We really need to get over there and walk around and take in the sights.

BTW... That CLOWN is super scary!!!!!! :scared1:

Hey Tim! Welcome!! The Boardwalk area is beautiful, and can be a lot of fun when the performers are out. I just like to walk around there and soak it in...:cloud9:

The clown is very weird! The glowing eyes seriously made me laugh! I feel bad for those with a clown fear!

Thanks to you, on my way home last night I had to stop ay the Pretzel Factory and pick some up :rotfl: Dh and DS were quite happy with that though!!!

I think I also need to keep this list. Oh and I second the frozen lemonade, definite favorite of mine!! And because of you, on my next trip I will be getting the little corn dog thingies in MK, never had 'em!!!:confused3

:lmao: Another victim in the power of suggestion! ;) I'm totally craving one now that you mention it though. There isn't anything like that close to me though!

I've had the frozen lemonade before, and it is very yummy! Its a GREAT treat to add to the list for hot September. Especially when paired with something hot/spicy.

I think I should be getting commission from Casey's on people trying Corn Dog Nuggets. ;) Not everyone is a fan, but ooooh man...I really like me a deep fried hot dog while gazing at the Castle!

Oh that stinks about the Mickey Bar! I don't think I remembered that you were allergic to them? Dairy?? But you can do a root beer float...?

I'm actually allergic to the chocolate...I don't know if it's a true allergy, as I can eat a Three Musketeers, but "real" chocolate does me in and I'm sick.

That is not a silly request! I've got it down. :thumbsup2 I very much remember your love affair with the donuts. Joe ate like 28892 at Crystal Palace last September!! They are gone there? It is a SHAME, they were good! I will scope out Cape May and report back.

I think Cape May may have actual full doughnuts, that's what I've seen and wondered if they still had. I hope CP still has those little beauties, but if Cape may has them, I'm gonna eat there each morning and not miss full doughnuts.

:sad2:

No. That was NOT where the Magic lived.

And I'm just guessing it was a child, who was innocent, but their parents - who can CLEARLY READ a sign - just stood by and watched. :headache: That stuff drives me bOnkers!

Can I just tell you my mouth is WATERING right now! I love Disney snack also especially the Mickey Head Rice Krispy Treats...it must be the shape. The coconut/chocolate Mickey heads are really yummy also. As we mentioned before I am looking forward to going into Goofy Cand Co on my next trip.

I can't wait to see picture of Henry eating his very own Mickey Ice Cream! Something about kids with ice cream all over their face just makes me smile.

I also love that Henry recognizes the Castle when watching movies and asks you if you want to go to Mickey's house! Too cute!!!!

It is the shape! I swear it, everything is better Mickey shaped!!

Henry makes a fine mess with those Mickey ice cream bars too! The first time he even got it on his TOES. No idea how!

It's very cute that he asks me about Mickey's House. He's SO excited. Tonight we are having a "Disney Movie Night" (Finding Nemo) and I created and then decorated the wall above our table with Nemo characters - I'll post pics here in a bit. I am NOT an artist, but we had a ball doing it!

My son got one at Aloha Isle when the rest of us got Dole Whips. :thumbsup2

When we were there last December, we watched Illuminations from between UK and Canada. There was popcorn available right there.

Oooh, that's perfect! I didn't realize they had them there. Joe usually gets the Citrus Swirl and I get the Dole Whip Float - but perhaps I will opt for the root beer float this time. It looks so stinkin' good!

Ah! Excellent to know about the popcorn!! We were on the other side, on the bridge, when I was hunting for it. I walked almost to Mexico - no popcorn! I should have gone the other way!

I so don't understand how Disney came up with clowns vomiting out children?? :confused3:scared1:

Exactly!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :lmao: The clown doesn't freak me out, but the thought of it all...it makes good PTR and TR fodder though. ;)

You've never ridden HM? Now I am really worried about you. Yes, they have them in the buckets there as well (I think they have the buckets at all of them). You can ramble any time you want.

No, not allergic to coconut. It's just nobody in my family likes it.

I know, I know. <hangs head in shame> No popcorn, no waffle, no HM...it's embarrassing really. ;)

Hold the phone!

You have never ridden HAUNTED MANSION!??

:faint::faint::faint::faint::faint::faint::faint:

If you haven't ridden it by the time our meet rolls around, guess what we are going to do? ;)

:rotfl: That would be a GREAT meet! I'll be honest, the HM kinda freaks me out. :rolleyes1 ToT I like because of the fun at the end, I could skip the beginning and be fine! :teeth: But really, it does sound like a perfect meet!!!

I'll take one of everything, please! :rotfl:

Your love letter to the sweet almond pretzel is classic!!! Love it! :lmao:

I, too, tried the Frozen Chai based on JenJolt's recommendation and enjoyed every last sip of it.

I'm getting more and more hungry replying to everyone about the food! And I just ate lunch!

I love me a chai...a frozen chai sounds seriously amazing. It's from the tea cart, right? I had a hot chai there in January and it was delish!

SO while I was catching up here I got an email saying we passed ROFR and are now proud owners of a BWV DVC membership! :woohoo: So place take a bazillion pics of the resort when you are there, ok?!

:rotfl: That would be a GREAT meet! I'll be honest, the HM kinda freaks me out. :rolleyes1 ToT I like because of the fun at the end, I could skip the beginning and be fine! :teeth: But really, it does sound like a perfect meet!!!
I am the biggest wimp you will ever meet and I promise you, the HM is great campy fun.

I think that should be our meet. Do you think you make it over to MK after our Kona lunch?? Our ADR is for 1:45PM. I know you have no plans this day and you are going to AK for emh's....do you think you could pop over to MK real quick first?

Today marks 28 days until Disney World! For the month of August we don't really have too much planned, so it will probably go fairly slowly - which I actually don't mind. July flew by way too fast!

A couple weeks ago I made Henry a countdown chain using the various links you can find HERE.

954099698_hNnhU-M.jpg

954099703_pNieL-M.jpg

954099722_PpQeU-M.jpg

954099734_9oTTH-M.jpg

He has grasped the idea that when we get to the top of the chain that is when we go to Mickey's House. We've done countdowns since his first trip, but this is the first time he's actually understood what it was for. :goodvibes

Each night after his teeth are brushed he is allowed to take off a link.

954099694_EzCNN-M.jpg

The chain is now above the window sill - which is a big deal to me! Pretty soon we are going to have to move it down to the non-curtained-cafe-rod  so Henry can reach it.

960507008_WzoHX-M.jpg

960507029_rKqfi-M.jpg

He POSED for this. What a nut!

It's a fun ritual every night. I also tell him that when we just have one chain left, that means it's his birthday - but he couldn't care less! He's all about Mickey's House.

Second topic...

I am on the brink of entering this century's cell phone technology. This afternoon Joe visited an At&T store and purchased me an iPhone. My current phone is pathetic. It's a $20 cheapie from Target. I can't even text on it!!

So....new phone means PICTURES direct from the World in September! That so deserves a dancing banana, don't you think? Perhaps even a Scary Dancing Man? :dancer:

And for those of you whom I am meeting very soon, yes, I will have a new number. I will PM you with it!

Third topic...

The other day I checked "Finding Nemo" out at the library and we are having a Disney Movie Night tonight. Henry has seen this, but he was very young and doesn't remember it. He has a book, and has been on the ride and the show at WDW numerous times, so he understands the story already, but he's very excited about the movie night. "Night make popcorn, eat, watch Finding Nemo!" :cutie:

So this morning I decided to get....
crafty and decorate a wall.

<enter scary music>

Now if you have read my PTRs before you know I am NOT crafty. I am quite UN-crafty. I love art. I wish I could craft. But, I'm a geek. I'll install more RAM into your computer, or reformat your hard drive, or build you a website...but crafting? :scared1::scared1::scared1:

So forgive the lame-ness. But it's pretty rad to a two year old!

960505834_iTEEn-M.jpg

960505836_uEejJ-M.jpg

Crush (shell designed by Henry) and Marlin.

960505846_nuCTt-M.jpg

The hilarious little starfish dude.

960505849_fNTts-M.jpg

Joe's swim goggles! :rotfl:

960505852_ARJoZ-M.jpg

Jellyfish.

960505828_yLEbZ-M.jpg

Dory and Nemo.

Up next: Clothing...possibly to include shoes and bags as well...

I love the countdown chain--very cool. And I think you did great on the "crafting that you stink at." I'm no good at anything arty either, but I think you did great. I love the pics of Henry with the countdown chain. He has grown up so much.

OMG! Henry is getting so big. Isn't this a totally FUN age?!! :thumbsup2

Welcome to the new century. I had an iPhone for about 2 1/2 years, but DH is a techno-nut and insisted that we have the new 4G from Sprint (HTC EVO). I really did like my iPhone and I do kinda miss it, but switching from AT&T to Sprint is saving us about $90 per month. Yes. ::yes:: NINETY!! So, I'll get used to the new phone. (It's just so BIG. That's really my only complaint.)

You are braver than I to decorate a wall. My strengths are as you described yours - more technical than artistic. I know better than to "free-hand" anything. The craftiest thing I do is counted cross-stitch which fits nicely into my instruction-following, numbers-oriented, hard-wired brain. :teacher:

Have a great weekend, Brook! Thanks for sharing so much with us. I enjoy all of your updates and I'm always looking forward to more. :goodvibes

SO while I was catching up here I got an email saying we passed ROFR and are now proud owners of a BWV DVC membership! :woohoo: So place take a bazillion pics of the resort when you are there, ok?!

YAHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! :yay::yay::yay: Congratulations!!!!!!!!

And no prob on the pictures!!! :thumbsup2

I think that will work...we do have "Welcome Home Wednesday" on the agenda at 4:00 pm...but I'm totally fine with coming to MK for one ride and then leaving again too. Do you think you'll be done with Kona by 3:00?

I love the countdown chain--very cool. And I think you did great on the "crafting that you stink at." I'm no good at anything arty either, but I think you did great. I love the pics of Henry with the countdown chain. He has grown up so much.

Thank you! Nemo was my first attempt - and I forgot to give him fins. Thankfully they were easy to add as separate pieces.

He has grown up a TON since our last trip. Both in size (39 inches!) and in other skills. It's amazing!

It can be a fun age...when he's being a good boy! :rotfl2: ;) Usually he is, but when he has his moods....whoooo boy! He cracks me up almost everyday with things he says or does though!

We currently have T-Mobile and we really like their service - going to AT&T was kinda hard, but its actually cheaper than T-Mobile on the data plans!! I've heard Sprint is really good now, they used to be awful. My brother has that phone (as does his GF) and they both really like it! Ninety is a LOT of cash! 2 years of that and you've got a very nice Disney trip! :lmao:

My main craft is cross-stitching as well! :rotfl: I can do that! Free-handing the fish was an interesting task, but it did turn out way better than I had ever expected.

I hope you have a great weekend too! We are just pretty much laying around the house this weekend - we haven't done that in a looooooooong time. I'm looking forward to it!

Oh my goodness, Brook... I love the pictures of Henry withthe paper chain you made! Adorable! :goodvibes And your Nemo craftiness is very fun! I think you have it down... :thumbsup2
Ok, I just looked in our photo album and found our room number in BWV was 4116. It was one bedroom villa. It had adjoining balconies that were quite long. I was happy not to be looking at the scary clown! :scared1: We didn't request it, it was just given to us.... nice! The hallways are a bit long but not too bad. Take lots of pictures!!! :)

What a great countdown! I might have to make me one of those!!

And you'll LOVE the iPhone. In fact, I am Dis-ing right now on mine! :)

I thnk you are pretty crafty....your Nemo wall is great!! So cute!!!

Love the countdown chain! Henry is too cute in the picture he posed for. Your art work is pretty good...pobably better than I would do.

Hope Henry likes Nemo...my DN likes it but it drives my sister nuts. You could probably do a Disney movie every night til you leave. It's cute Henry is asking for the popcorn tonight also...are you making it on the stove again?

Ohhhhh love seeing your bag options!
