I know I promised to stop this nonsense but I qualified that promise, today was a big day, Mindy asked so nicely and I am a sucker for nice requests especially from someone who has experience digging a cistern.

Today, the DISboards had 89 members join (as of 6:30 pm EST today - according to my clock (and not the one that runs about 25 minutes late )) so the we are only 275 new members away from reaching 200,000.

That means, I think, 200,000 could be reached late Friday night, rather than, as I guessed last night, around brunch on Saturday morning (I told you I qualified my promise).

Suppose, between now and Friday (at 6:30 pm EST), 85 members per day join. As of Friday, 6:30 pm EST that would put the disboards at 199,980. It is conceivable that 20 members would join before Friday at midnight. And even if only 80 members per day join before then, that would leave 35 to go as of Friday 6:30.

So if you are not too excited to sleep Friday night (I know I will be but because that is my first night at WDW this trip), make sure you .

200 to go - 75 new members today.

For some reason, Tuesday seems to be the biggest day for new members to join, holidays are terrible, weekends about average. I guess that means we need something cheerful to do on Tuesday.

If we assume consistent numbers (80 per day), we'll reach 199,963 Friday night at 6:30 pm EST. That would put us 37 away as of then.

I noticed last night (yes, I do have a life) that from 6:30 to about 10:30, there were 17 new members (pretty strong numbers). It then flattened out and there were no new members for a while.

Whether we get to 200,000 by the time they run me out of MVMCP Friday night depends entirely on Thursday and Friday numbers. One banner day (not the one that fell during the podcast) and it could happen. But if new members stay at 80 to 85, as they have, the odds are that 200,000 will happen around (before or after) breakfast on Saturday.

Special Supplement - between last night (at 6:30 pm EST) and now (defined as 7:39 AM EST) - there were 40 new members. So, it could be breakfast on Saturday indeed.

If 80 join by this time tomorrow, that will leave 44 - which should, as I said this morning, should come Saturday morning around breakfast.

As of 7:30 AM EST (real time, not DIS server time - ) , we are into the double digits - 92 to go.

There have been days when 92 members have joined but those were the exceptions. With yesterday being a little off (76 instead of 83 - more the average) and today (which started at 6:30 pm yesterday) looking a little slow (32 so far), I'm starting to think breakfast Saturday might be pushing things slightly. I just don't want all the DISsers to get to TSM meet and blame me for getting up early on a Saturday only to have to wait on 200,000 until lunch.

I'm packed and leave for the airport in an hour and a half. If all goes well, I'll be posting tonight's estimate from Chef Mickey's.
