As our first trip to our new ``home'' (VWL) is just 8 weeks away, I have been busy making the all important ressies for character meals and planning a variety of things. I have some questions for some of you more seasoned DVCers.

I know some of you have mentioned transportation from VWL to the parks as being a hassle sometimes. I made a reservation to the Cinderella breakfast one morning and it is about 40 minutes before the park opens. I know from past years of being a cash customer at the poly that you can still get to the park before it opens via the monorail. But now that we will be at VWL, is the boat launch running prior to MK's opening each morning???

I also had a question about the search for hidden Mickey's I've heard mentioned before. Our flight (as long as it doesn't get canceled) will have us arriving early afternoon. since we will have a few hours to kill before we can check in, will the Mickey search keep our DDs (7 & 3) busy for a while?

I had another question too, but now I can't remember so that will have to hold for a future post.

Thanks gang!

Laura

I think the boats "officially" start running 30 minutes before opening but may run earlier as I know the buses from OKW do.
The hidden Mickey hunt sounds like a good idea and also keep some swimsuits with you so the kids can swim in the pool. You can check-in early and your room could be ready by then, too. Have a wonderful trip!

First of all your room could be ready but definitely pack your swim suits. With some luck you could spend some quality pool time during your wait. As far as the hunt for hidden mickeys – there is a web site with all kinds of information on hidden mickeys www.hiddenmickeys.org. You could also easily spend a couple of hours walking around the resort, checking out the shops and sights. Good luck and have a great trip.

I think there might be a bus from WL to the TTC. You could take that and then catch the monorail there if the boat doesn't run early. Ask when you check-in.

hi: if your room isn't ready, you can check in and pick up your hidden mickey sheets at the front desk. also ask about transportation for the breakfast; they can suggest a couple of ideas for you. you may want to grab some lunch in the roaring forks snack bar and then do the mickey hunt. There were a couple in the Artist Point section that we were unable to find (over the course of a couple of trips) until a kind waitress took pity on us and pointed them out. You can also hit the pools/hot tubs for a little while and check out the geyser. this is a great resort to wander around and you can get your bearings on the first afternoon. have a wonderful trip!
