Hi Ya

Hoping someone will be able to either link me to a relevant post (I am sure there is one but can't find one specific enough) or help...

I am making my daughter a countdown calendar, but each page has a "fact" about Disney that aren't necessarily run of the mill facts.

Does anyone have anything else, or can point me in the direction?

Here's what I have so far (I am really disappointed in myself as I knew loads of bits and pieces once upon a time, but they've been pushed out with work stuff... really work is so inconsiderate!)

TIA

1. SPACESHIP EARTH WEIGHS 16 MILLIONS POUNDS

2. TEST TRACK IS THE FASTEST RIDE AT DISNEY AT 65MPH

3. 100 SUNGLASSES ARE LOST EVERY DAY AT DISNEY WORLD

4. ON BUZZ LIGHT YEAR, HIT THE FIRST ORANGE ROBOTS ARM FOR 100,000

5. THE CASTLE ISN’T MADE OF BRICKS ITS MADE OF FIBREGLASS

6. CINDERELLAS HORSE IS ON THE CAROUSEL. IT HAS A GOLD BOW.

7. IT’S A SMALL WORLD TAKES 10 MINUTES TO RIDE

8. ON MAIN STREET THE WINDOWS HAVE THE PEOPLES NAMES WHO HELPED BUILD WDW

9. YOU REACH 40MPH ON THE FINAL DROP OF SPLASH MOUNTAIN

10. ALL THE SWITCHES ON MISSION: SPACE WORK – TRY THEM ALL

You can see the back of Tower of Terror from the Morocco pavilion in Epcot. That's why ToT is painted its signature pink color. They also put turrets on top of ToT to help it blend.

If you will PM me your email address I can send you a whole document of WDW trivia that I organized before our first trip. I'm sure some of the info is outdated now, but a bunch of it is probably still relevant.

The names on the windows on Main Street are meant to unfold like the opening credits of a movie. Walt Disney's is the first and last name you see, first in the train station window and last facing the castle, indicating that he is the "movie" director.

Thought of another:

The big flag on Main Street is taken down every day before sundown per proper flag etiquette. All of the other flags on top of Main Street buildings are non-standard American flags (wrong number of stripes, wrong proportions, etc.) so that they don't have to come down every night.
