Coumbus Day weekend Friday or Sunday?

We (myself & DS13) plan to visit both parks for the first time that weekend & am just wondering which day is my best bet for lower crowds. We're not big thrill ride people so we don't necessarily need or want to hit all the coasters. The priority will be WWoHP & then just exploring to see what catches our eye. We arrive until Thu. & leave Tue. I definitely want to avoid Sat. & the Monday holiday. Still mulling over the option of flying in Wed. late afternoon & staying one night but it seems like such a waste of money just to get early park access on Thu. morning. We'd basically just be using the room to sleep in. So what say you Universal experts? If we plan to be there before park opening which day would be our best choice? Thanks.

Crowds won't be horrible, not super low, but not horrible either on either of those days...BUT...Keep in mind that Halloween Horror nights is going on both nights and it closes the Studios at 5pm to dayguests.If you arre planning to be at Islands of Adventure only, you may see crowds increase once the studios closes

i've been doing that weekend for the last 8 years.
each year the crowds grow.


friday might be your better bet for that park.
sunday will have more in the park due to the weekend.
those that get off work on monday, won't have to deal with getting up early if they do the park and stay for hhn that sunday night.

i would do thur/fri for park days.

Sat- Discovery Cove
Sun- IOA
Mon- Sea World
Tues- US
Wed IOA

Being Columbus weekend, I do worry about crowds & HHN i'm sure helps to increase crowds.
