Couldn't wait any longer for Disney & OKW 42% discount

We've stayed in a two bedroom and grand villa and a studio and we have not been disappointed with any of them. We've only stayed in a studio once as our youngest DD wakes up at the slightest noise and cannot get back to sleep or else we wouldn't hesitate to stay in a studio again. The rooms are very spacious and you have a fridge, microwave etc. It won't be a problem staying there without a car as the Disney transportation is excellent. we don't get the refillable mugs as we much prefer to have bottled soda out of the fridge in the room, but refilling the mugs is really easy. The only thing is there isn't as much choice as there is at some of the other resorts. We love OKW so I would always recommend it! :thumbsup2

Thanks Wayneg and Catherine. Your comments are easing my concerns.

We loved using Disney Transport when we stayed at Pop. I do wish I could persuade DH to drive over there but he likes having a completely stress free holiday and driving in Orlando does not = stress free for hubby!

I guess we will just have to be organised if we decide to get the refillable mugs this time. We bought them last time but it was real convenient to fill them up as we were real close to the food court.

Yeah you are right about not spending alot of time in the room. Way too much to do! Hoping for a more relaxed pace this time.

Thanks again.

I am the other way around, public/Disney transport = stress to me, a car is stress free, I love driving over there (not here)
Last August we only did 1 journey by bus, so I could drink at Hoop Dee Doo, over 1 hour to do a 5 min car journey and got an arrogant bus driver. I like my own space and being in control, buses do not do it for me.

Aren't CO still pretty expensive compared to this year's deal?

No, not for our dates. This year OKW is costing £100/night, next year CO are asking £108/night but if Disney increase the £100 by the same level they have for the past 2 years they should be asking £111 for next year (less 6% Quidco just now)

I must take another look - I haven't picked dates for next year yet. I am sort of waiting to see what we think as this year will be my first year onsite. Afraid of missing the boat though.

Any more rumors on dessert / no dessert??

Usually I would say no rush to book, you can still book for this year no problems but don't know what Disney are up to this time, can't see why they are not selling the discounted rooms but CO are, its strange.

Still not heard anything else about desserts, maybe thats partly the delay in the discounted offer, still making choices on prices and whats included?

If the cost goes up 10% and no dessert I am almost certain we will be offsite next year, already seen an offer at Best Western Lakeside for £23/night with fridge & internet or the brand new Coco Key Hotel and Water Resort at £30/night looks to be some bargains for hotels next August offsite.

I love Best Western Lakeside - it would be my second choice. Lack of dessert might not seem like a big deal but it is just a decrease in value which would make me waver.

Don't know.

At least I have now found the good price. Thanks.

Stayed at BW lakeside 3 times, I think its a great value resort for £23/night.

When we eat offsite we usually have enough with 1 course, especially at places like Ale House, Manny's, Cheesecake Factory etc, we might occasionally share a dessert but onsite 1 course is not enough, it needs either a starter or dessert which adds $20+ to every meal for us. ontop of $10/day internet and higher tips onsite I just don't see the value for us.

Hi guys
I am new......what does all this mean, about to book for August...we were going in October, but dd does not want to have an extended holiday as she is starting in comp this year xx Any explanation to termonology would be fab :)

Yeah!! :cheer2: We are booked for Oct 2011, 21 nights at OKW with FREE dining. Now just got to rob a bank to pay for it all!

Checked with WDW uk and it's £231 cheaper to book with Complete Orlando. Disney are now offering OKW at nearly a 40% reduced rate but no signs on the page, as in previous year(s), to show a discounted rate.

So who else will be there in Oct 2011?

Hi

We've also booked with Complete Orlando for October 2011. I was worried at first as Disney not offering the 42% off but spoke to Complete Orlando and they have a deal with Disney and that's why they offered the deal. Fingers crossed everything will be OK.

Has anyone else booked with Complete Orlando before and had any problems?

Thanks x

CO seem a very good company. They are owned by Attraction Tickets Direct who have been trading since 2002. Although no company can be 100% guaranteed I would not hesitate to use them.
