For a couple of months now I've been checking the Disney UK site everday to see if they are offering the 42% off deal for OKW. Finally today I've lost patience and I've caved and booked it with CO. I just hope that I've done the right thing and won't end up regretting it!

I think plenty others are going to join you shortly if Disney doesn't offer it soon. I am sure it will be fine.

So when are you going? I dont' see a ticker yet ;)

Congratulations - let the planning begin.:cool1:

I will book with them next year if Disney doesn't do the offer. You don't have to buy your attraction tickets from CO to get the OKW/SSR offer either, do you?

When are you going?:)

The trip that I've just booked is for Nov. 2011. It'll be the first time that we've been in Nov. so I'm hoping that the weather will be ok and the parks won't be too crowded!

I thought that to get free dining you had to get the tickets from the same company that you booked accomodation with.

To get free DDP you have to book room & tickets but just the discounted room you can probably buy without tickets, not checked though.

ill be joining you soon if disney dont offer it, even with losing this years deposit to book with them

disney need to move it and bring it out!!!!

I can't see any reason why you would regret booking with them, so happy planning!!!!:goodvibes

good for you, i am sure they stick up the prices before they offer 42% anyway ;) do you have free dining ?- even tho they have changed it you can still get value for money if you go to the right places - happy planning

Yes the table service dinning plan is included with OKW, amongst others

This is what me and the other half will be doing.
I have said all week i would but have been holding off.

I'm giving it till the end of this week then going to give some serious thought to booking with CO.

We booked last year on the 15th May 2009 through Disney for this October on the 42% off offer. I just cant undertsand the delay this year :confused3

This is my dilema you see. CO state that they book direct through Disney and therefore provide you with a Disney reservation number, but if thats the case, and Disney know that CO are doing this deal why are they not doing it them self. This then leads my synical mind into thinking, are CO booking all these reservations in the hope that Disney releases this offer, and are simply reserving these bookings on the current full price offered by disney, to then just simply amend the bookings with Disney, in the hope, the offer is soon release

I suppose I'm even more dubious due to the posts I have been recently reading over on the DVC boards. I know that DVC have received unprecedented amounts of complains from DVC owners regarding the 42% offer and how unfair it is to them :confused3

Oh what to do :confused3:confused3:confused3

Maybe CO have an agreement in place with Disney? Maybe arranged last year?

It could be for the reasons mentioned that Disney won't offer 42% discount, but have an agreement with some third parties doing this. Obviously DVC owners cannot blame Disney then for the discount, even though Disney somewhere along the line have agreed this with CO.

Just book with CO. Attraction Tickets direct are a reputable company, no one worries about them, and they are both part of the same company.

I have to say I really impressed with CO. When I did the booking yesterday I made a mistake, even though I tripled checked I didn't catch it! :upsidedow Anyway, within 30 mins of making the booking someone at CO phoned me to let me know about it, sorted it out and sent me out a revised invoice!

Must admit I used Attractions Direct last year for our Flexi-tickets and agree, great service :thumbsup2

We're leaning towards booking with CO for OKW for Aug 2011 on the 42% discount, we can not understand why Disney UK have not brought out this offer yet. we've also been looking on Jetsave they have limited Disney resort choice but are cheaper than virgin to book a package deal. We're still undecided if we package or DIY :confused3

Hi all,

I got really excited when I found CO 42% plus free dining offer last week, had my heart set on 3 weeks at POR with free dining for Oct 2011. But that 42% is just too hard to beat. I calculate OKW is about £230 cheaper for 2A and 1C (age10)

But not really sure about OKW as a delux resort.

The 1br and 2br villas look lovely, but how much more delux can they make a studio? Budget only allows for a studio.

I know they are renovating right now, but has anyone stayed in a studio at OKW. Is it really doable without car hire? DH won't drive in the States. How easy is it to refill mug?

Any suggestions greatly appreciated

Nikki

We stayed in a studio last August, and are again this August for 21 nights. We don't spend much time in the room so don't care much about it but it was larger than a std hotel room, plenty big anough for us.
I don't see its a problem without a car, bus stops all around the resort, we were about 2 mins walk to nearest but we always have a car, hate Disney/public transport or taxis.
2 places to refill mugs near the 2 pools. I don't like the fountain drinks, prefer bottled diet Pepsi 99cents for 2L usually, cheaper than refill mugs for us.
