Couldn't get our Plaza Restaurant time and DH thinks BIG crowds!

Today is our 60 day out date - 8/21-8/31. Wanted to book Plaza Restaurant for 4:50 on our e-night and couldn't get it. DH is freaking out at me saying this means HUGE crowds. What do you all think?

I think - don't worry about it. Even if the park is crazy during the day, the E-night will be great. The place thins out at closing time and then the rides are all yours.

I also think you should keep trying for your Plaza p.s. You'll be surprised how things change from day to day. Persistence pays off! A *little* earlier or a *little* bit later may work too. Good luck and let us know how it goes!

We go every July & I always expect HUGE crowds. Its crowded but never what I expect. Don't worry, have a good time. I also tried to get Chef Mickeys for dinner and couldn't. I'll try when I get down there. Many times when I try to book my ps's before I'm there, I have no luck. Then I call from my room & theres availability. I heard that they only book a certain amount of tables by using the dining number & they always leave some tables free for the guests that are already there.

I don't know whether this is true or not, but a long time ago I had heard that a limited number of PSs at some restaurants were released at set intervals...60 days, 30 days, etc., with some accommodation made for walk-ins. I'm sure this is not the case for CRT, but it may be for some of the other inpark restaurants.

Don't panic! Keep trying to get your Plaza PS.

The dates you will be there are not traditionally as crowded as the earlier summer months. A lot of kids return to school earlier and the Florida schools open in late August. Also, I'm pretty sure the hours for the parks are somewhat shorter.

Of course, all bets are off with the Fairytale package; that seems to have really kicked up the attendance. It could go either way, but I would not worry about it. For sure, the weather will be steamy!

I don't know, I had no trouble getting Cindy's breakfast nor Fantasmic dinner package just 3 weeks out. I was wondering if it was slow? LOL! Seems to be a toss up!

I just booked the Plaza yesterday for an e-ride night in July. I didn't have any problem getting the exact time that I wanted. Go figure.

Kallison I had the exact same thing happen to me when I tried to book a PS for the Plaza Resturant on 8/12, also an e-night. They said they were only serving dinner there from 4-4:50, even though the park was open until 9. So I think it is a computer glitch or something, I wouldn't worry about the crowds too much. Even if it is crowded there's not much we can do about it right?

We just got back and ate at the Plaza Rest. for a late lunch (@2:00 PM)- it was great, but I don't think they serve after 4 PM (the Ice Cream Palor is open late, though).

We went that week last year and the crowds were so low we are going back this year. However, we just tried to book Mama Melrose for 8 people. Today is the 60 day mark and we tried at about 7:10(I figured let the Cindys people get done first, LOL), and all we could get was 4:30!!! We had wanted 5:45. DH asked what if we split up into 2 4's and they said they had nothing. How can they have nothing but 4:30, at MM, 10 minutes into booking? Somethings not adding up here.
