Couldn't Get Le Cellier, So Thoughts on Chefs de France?

Our last visit to Chefs de France was eh....just okay.
I would choose Teppen Edo or Tutto Italia over it.

We ate at Chefs last week and it was fantastic. We had a great table in the corner by the window and the six of us loved our meals. I had the filet with the potatoes au gratin and it was delicious. Definately eat there, you truly feel like you are dining in Paris.

I'm so glad to hear that Chefs is getting good reviews... we'll be trying it in December also this time! Along with Tutto Italia!

We have enjoyed our dining experiences at Chefs, but will note it tended to slide a little, but this is observed across all TS restaurants with few exceptions as dining plan fixed revenues with variable expenses alter the experience. We have always found it to be a better experience than LeCellier which became popular only when a new population of TS diners emerged on the TS dining scene as a result of dining plans...it us to be a walk-up restaurant of Epcot.

DH and I ate at Chefs for our anniversary. Wonderful food - he had the beef tenderloin and I had the duck. And the creme brulee is delicious. Our waiter, Johan, was great. We even got a nice card. I recommend it.

Love Chefs de France. The atmosphere, the food, the drinks, and of course, the cute French waiters.

I'm actually disappointed because my whole party wanted to go to Le Cellier this year and we got it...I would have much preferred Le Chefs!!

Well, I called this morning, and no Le Cellier for us either. Got Chefs de France for 5.40 for 8.15 show.

I've eaten at Chefs just one time. When I called to book my CP pkg, the only spot that was available was Chefs, for the late show that I wanted. I turned it down and went with the middle show and Coral Reef. Why?
Because the one time we ate at Chefs, we had worse than mediocre food, downright bad service. My filet was badly overcooked, my dh's fish was extremely dry. He ordered the iced tea...same iced tea that every WDW restaurant has. But Chefs didn't feel the need to put ice in it!! Took several tries to get some ice. Our server never checked back with us as to how our food was. When she finally came back, to take our dessert orders, we told her we were done and wanted our check. She never even asked why none of us had finished our meals..just cleared the plates. It took close to 25 mins to get the check. It was just one thing after another. Now, perhaps I got unlucky that night...don't know. But I will stick with restaurants that I've tried before and had good service at.

We've usually liked Chefs de France. It was very poor the one time we went during a free dining promotion. Because of free dining, they had replaced the filet with something that was called a steak but resembled no piece of beef I've ever had. It was truly awful.

Our most recent visit was early August, before the latest free dining mania began. We really enjoyed it. The cheese plate was great, and we loved the escargot in garlic butter. We tried several entrees. The best was the short rib. Really good.

So, I recommend Chefs except during free dining. Unfortunately, free dining is going on until Dec. So, based on our experience during free dining a couple of years ago, I'd probably pick someplace else.

Have a great time & dinner. This was one of our best meals we ate there on the 27th and it was Awesome. We all got the Filet. Definately going back here.
