Could you help me choose a room location?

These boards are great! Would anyone be willing to help me choose a room location to request? I know that I'm not guaranteed getting what I request, but it is worth a try. I get kind of overloaded with information when I try to do this myself! Here is our information: family of 3 including 16 yr old DD
we will be staying for 2 nights at Pop and then moving to POFQ for 4 nights. Here is what we like on a vacation: quiet location, nice cool clean room. My requests would have something to do with asking for a (standard) room in a quiet location that is not too far from bus stops and foodcourt, but not right next to the pool. Also, we would like to be in a room that has never been smoked in and not near a DSA. Any suggestions to request for Pop? Any suggestions to request for POFQ? We will be there middle of August. Thanks!

POFQ is probably our favorite resort. We like the quieter locations and I usually request Building 6. It's close to the main building, food court and bus stop...but yet it's not right on top of the pool. Have a great time!

We've stayed twice at POFQ. Love that resort!

2004 we stayed in building 7, room 7248. It was a corner room at the end of the building. Super quiet, and only a 5 minute walk to the bus stop and food court. Plus it had a lovely river view. (Perfect for our anniversary, without kids!)

In 2006, we stayed in building 3. Room 3222. Super close to bus stop and food court, short walk to the pool. It was nice because we had our 4 year old with us. We had a courtyard view.

POFQ is a wonderful resort, you will enjoy it. Until we joined DVC it was our resort of choice. The nice part about the resort is that it is small. No matter where you are it is not far to walk. Another nice thing about building 6 is it is close to the bus stop, and parking. Search the threads for the official FAQ about POFQ, lots of good information. Don't forget to try the beignets!
