I would like to enter a photo contest, & these were some of my favorites. I am not professional, I just enjoy taking photos, & you all on the DIS boards have helped me learn & grow with my photography. The firework photos were my first attempt, on our family’s first visit to Disney World. I have seen some of the entries & they are pretty Awesome, thinking I’m out of my league on this one… but my family & friends are very encouraging, & keep telling me to go for it. So I’m going to do it. But I could use your help to narrow it down, as I can only submit 1 photo. I’m asking for your honest opinion, which one should I submit.

I know I should resize the photo's for viewing easier in the DIS. On photo bucket it asks for the width & height?? Not sure what to go with, in the past it let me choose small medium or large. But the only option I see it to type in the width & height, & I'm not sure what to type in?

Well... which one I'd choose depends on the type of contest and what they're looking for. If it's one where they're looking for "wow" images that make viewers go ooh and aahh then any of the fireworks shots. If they're looking for "beautiful" images then then last one (just pull those highlights back a tiny bit if you can). And if it's looking for cute then the first one, hands down.

#2 and 7 are my favorites. I do agree with Danielle that it all depends on the theme of the contest.

I love the Everest shots also but the clouds appear to be pushed a little to far in processing. Dial them back some and those would be excellent also.

I can't find a specific theme for the contest. The contest itself is called "oh beautiful" it has several categories , people, landscape, animal, misc/other.. the process is a little disappointing, you submit 1 photo & share it on Facebook. Where you hope your friends & family's "like" the photo. It comes down to popular vote, & then when they are norrowed down the judging comes in from there after they have the most liked photos. There are allready over 250 submissions, contest started September 9 & the last submission is on October 3. New york institute of photography is holding the contest. I looked at the submissions, and some allready have 1000 likes. I might be entering too late, but I think I will still enter just for fun.
