When (oh so delicious) cows and pigs grow on trees, I'll become a vegetarian. :thumbsup2

It would be so hard for me to give up diary. I've cut back a good deal in my attempts to lose weight, but even cutting back on cheeses and ice cream and cream is hard.

I have tried to go veggie a few times without success
I know it is good for me and good for the planet. I am just weak:rolleyes1

I could only become a vegetarian if I could eat seafood. I know there are some vegetarians that do eat fish/seafood.

not all vegetarians give up dairy! I do use skim in cereal, or I use rice milk, that is WHEN I eat it. and I live on eggs, and use cheese daily, not a lot. a slice usually. I also eat a ton of yogurt. we are called Lacto-ovo-vegetarians some also eat fish. there are many different types of vegetarians
Ditto. I was really quite surprised how little I miss meat. I didn't think I'd miss it much; but instead I don't miss it at all.

I was a vegetarian for many years but I always craved tacos. Nothing else made me want to eat meat except tacos. I finally caved. However, I still don't eat much meat and I think I'd be able to even give up tacos now.

I still cannot cook meat though. I just can't look at it.

If you'd asked me this three months ago, I'd say no way. Now we've found out that my son is allergic to many proteins (along with other things). We've cut out beef, chicken, turkey, milk products, eggs along with nuts (both tree nuts and peanuts). We also can't eat some other things (like chocolate, peas, pears and bananas). You never know what you can do until you have to do it. We still eat fish and pork, but we may lose those at some point too.

I tried to be a vegetarian last year. I went two months without eating meat and I just couldn't do it anymore. I definately think I could stop eating red meat. You can do so much with chicken and fish.

I'm a vegetarian. I never was a big meat eater in the first place so it wasn't a hard switch. I do miss hamburgers when I smell them grilling but Morningstar makes great alternatives.

No - I couldn't.. I enjoy my meat, fish, and poultry too much - not to mention the fact that many vegetables cause serious digestive problems for me and I'm not big on the idea of "drinking" vegetables instead..;)

I get a kit at the store by Taco Bell to get the sauce and make it with the mealstarters by Morningstar and it tastes just as good (to me anyway). I really missed them too until I tried that.

I am currently a piscatarian/flexitarian. I have been a vegetarian and I go back and forth between the three.

Just don't ask me to even contemplate being vegan!

I voted NO.

I made pork chops for dinner and bought some veal cutlets for tomorrow. So, I would I would have to say "NO."

Besides meat is good for the brain. :)

Nope, I'm a meat and potatoes girl, through and through. We try for a wide variety of foods in our family. We try lots of fruits and veggies, and have different meats as well as a vegetarian meal during the week. I figure that a little of everything is good for you, rather than too much of a good thing gets really old really fast. I have to admit I could live on cheeseburgers though ....

I could give up the meat, I don't eat as much as I used to before, but...I would probably yield in a month or two.

I've been a lacto-ovo vegetarian for about 4 years, was pescatarian for 2 years before that, and haven't eaten red meat in over 10 years.

I don't miss meat at all. Then again, I never liked it- growing up, I'd go through a bottle of ketchup by myself every week because I hated the taste of meat and needed to drown it in ketchup to eat it.

I tried being vegan at one point. In the end, I realized that I don't have a moral problem with dairy or eggs, as long as they are organic/free range. Adding dairy into a vegetarian diet gives you plenty of options, and makes eating out that much easier.

I would die of starvation in about 3 days.

For me veggies are a necessary evil, something that my wife puts on my plate, and I eat it because she says I should. Although when you cover them with melted cheese they aren't too bad. :thumbsup2
