Just browsing the resales and there is a 1000 pt. OKW contract for sale. :earseek: While it would be great to have that many points, I honestly cannot see needing THAT many points. I guess if you did a family reunion EVERY year you'd use them. :confused3 This must be one of the orig. contracts cause who could afford to buy 1000 points all at once? Not I, well maybe if I took out a 2nd mortgage on the house and told DH that he'd have to give up racing, and asked the In-laws for an advance on our inheiritance, and cashing out the 401 k's. And that't not even figuring in the Annual Dues!!!:faint: By the way, what would the annual dues be on a 1000 pt OKW contract? :teacher:

Exactly 1000 points

Sure, I could do that every year...when I'm retired. Not now though.

Actually, 1000 points would only get you the month of January in a 2 bedroom, and I'd need it for at least 2 months if I was trying to escape the cold! ;)

Easily. A week in a Boardwalk Grand Villa at Christmas would eat up 966.

But I'd rather do the 1-bd for 6 warm weeks in Jan/Feb.

Can you say "Snowbirds". Thousands of Minnesotans flock south for Jan/Feb/Mar. That would be 1000 points a year in a studio. Wonderfull.

Also thats only a week in a BWV GV at XMAS (966 points).

I could "use" them, but it wouldn't be the most efficient use of the points, ie weekend stays, 2-BRs for just 2 people, cruises, and Disney resort rooms. So burning them up wouldn't be a problem at all, but I'd more or less be wasting them on things I didn't really need.

party: But think about how much fun that would be.

No matter how many points I have I can always find a way to use more!

I would spend at least 10-12 days in a 2BR in the winter and then as many days in a 2BR at Hilton Head.
I could also use some points at the Sagamore, lake george, in both the summer and the winter.
I could also use some points towards a DCL Member cruise!

I think I need more points!

We have 1000 points and have no problem using them each year. Really, it isn't hard. We did rent out some to relatives this year, which helped with the maintenence fees.

It sure would be fun!!

Well, we've managed to buzz through almost 900 points per year for over 12 years now. We've got four daughters so we need a two bedroom unit (and that is cramped). When we lived in England, we came to Old Key West every Easter for two weeks (not exactly a cheap time in terms of points) and two weeks every August. We really do treat it like a second home and while it ain't cheap it costs substantially less than buying a condo!!!

i have NO doubt that i'd find a way to use 1000 points!

and the annual dues do seem like a lot to swallow.....but then i think that if i would just move into a cheaper county / state than the one i live in, dues on 1000 points would really just take the place of my property taxes.

Without a doubt! You've heard the saying, "If you build it, they will come." Well, "If you give me a 1000 points, I will use them."

The MF on the other hand would be a problem to handle!

Easily! I'm betting I would still be needing to borrow everyonce in a while as well!
