I don't think anyone traded pins when I was a kid going to Disney. What's the deal? Does everyone buy their lanyard inside the park? Are there a gazillion different pins to obsess over? Are they expensive?;)

You can buy the lanyard inside the park. Around $10. There are a a gazillion pins ranging from $7-$15 typically. Any CM can trade with your kids or the green lanyard CM's will trade with anyone.
I pick up a few pins on e-bay for my kids to trade. It is so much fun and SUPER addicting!!:lmao:

Just be careful buying on eBay, there are many sellers offering what looks like great pin deals only to find out they are unauthorized pins and basically garbage. :( If you pop on down to the collectors board there is a thread there with names of sellers that seem to offer up good pins at good prices for trading. I've purchased all of our lanyards inside the parks but I do buy pins from many of the sellers listed on the Collectors Board. :)

Thanks! At this point, I'm not sure if our tight Disney budget can handle the addition of pin-trading! LOL

I'm buying lanyards and pins before we go, from ebay. Look for Disney lanyard coin or disney lanyard wallet and you'll get a couple of sellers with good lanyards in the $5-8 range, including shipping. The place I'm getting ours works out to $6 ea for Disney authorized lanyards with coin purses attached.
