Could we make it from a 3:00 parade at MK to a 4:30 at 1900?

Yes. I'd probably watch from Main St. (like the hub by the train station) just so you don't have to deal with the crowds coming out, but that's def. doable. You should be out of MK by 3:45 at the latest and then can hop straight on the boat to GF.

I was thinking about doing a FP for the parade, but that would still put us reasonably close to the entrance. So the boat would be faster than the tram?

You can, but no real need to do that, if you just arrive at the Town Square area (over by City Hall is good) about 3:00-3:15PM.
