Last time I went to Disney, we didn't make reservation except until we got there so doing all this in advance is mind boggling to me. So please help me out.

I booked through AAA. I have the Dining plan for 6 days. How do I book on-line? Or do I have to call to make the reservations? What time can I start making the reservations? I know I'm one of the many that can book on Oct 27th.

Any advice would be so appreciative. Thanks in advance.

First off... you will need your reservation number from Disney NOT from AAA to book online. Some people have issues booking online so be prepared to call if you can't get the online system to work for you. I believe the start time is 7AM Eastern time but I could be wrong.

Advice would be... have a few options ready for yourself just in case you cant get what you want. Have a back up plan.. meaning have other choices. And most of all... be patient because they are busy first thing in the mornings. If you have to call you may be on hold for quite sometime.

Good Luck!

On-line booking starts at 6:00 am EST, a full hour before phone booking begins.

You will need your Disney reservation number in order to book for your full vacation.

You might want to go onto the site in advance to "practice" (without going all the way to the end, of course) ... that's what I did and when my day came up, I had everything booked with what I wanted by 6:15 am!

Can't help you with that one, as I always make my own booking direct with Disney. Sorry.

Your AAA agent should be able to supply the number.

AAA and many large agencies assign their own confirmation numbers to your trip to keep them cataloged properly on their computer systems. Disney would have given your TA a Disney confirmation number, and that Disney confo number is the one you can use.

If the 90+10 (soon to be 180+10) days does not open up when you use that number either it's an unfortunately very common glitch for the online dining system or the sytem is down. Online opens at 6am EST, phone lines open at 7am EST. If the online doesn't work for you you can always call.

Thanks!!

I do have my AAA confirmation number. So I can log on with that?

A Disney reservation number would read "(one number)(two letters)(five numbers)", such as "1BZ12345". If that's the format you have the Disney number.

It most likely is a different format and is an AAA reservation number, so I would call your AAA agent to find out. They should have no problem giving you the Disney number for your ADRs, I give them out to my clients all the time.

Since a TA made the reservation, Disney won't allow you to access/change the actual reservation, your agent has to do that. But either you or your agent can make the ADRs.

Just another thought. Maybe I'm the only one like this but when I looked on line, some of the places I wanted were not available. I was able to get them when I called in. Maybe it was coincidence and somebody released their reservation. However, I certainly felt like I get more by calling in.

Just a clarification - online ADR booking is available at 3 AM EST, so it can give you a four-hour head start over those waiting until 7 AM to call. This isn't to say that the system will necessarily be working properly at 3 AM or at any other time of day, but it can be done at 3 AM - I'm living proof, and there are many others who have posted that they have done ADRs online at 3 AM EST.

Thanks Tink. That's how my confirmation number is so I guess I'm good. Now to wait until the 27th

FWIW, for others reading this thread, I believe that your reservation number will read numbers and letters if you have dining plan booked. We never book dining plan and our reservations from Disney are always just numbers.
