We have passes for the park in New Orleans so we are going to take advantage while we are in San Antonio. I would love to know which hotels are close.........do they have a shuttle to the park?? Any thoughts on the park? Is there a waterpark section??

thanks!! Jon

Its been a few years since we have been. There is a waterpark section in the park, we enjoyed it. Fiesta Tx is on the outskirts of San Antonio--they are some hotels around but there were only a few at the time. We normally stay on the Riverwalk, its really nice and there are lots of resturants, clubs and shops there.
Here is a tourist webiste that could probably help you find a hotel close by. Sea World is also very close to Feista Tx incase your family would like to hit the park.

thanks for the link Deena :)

I am going to do some more digging ~ I think our Six Flags tickets allows us to get into Wet n Wild waterparks too. I am also going to check out Sea World. My BIL went there last year with his family and they raved about it. We stayed real close to the Riverwalk last year with some very last minute arrangements it was nice. The hotel was awesome and within walking distance I think it was St. Anthony or something close to that.

thanks again, Jon

We like to stay at the Embassy suites at 1-10 and 410 Loop. Nice rooms, hot bkfst, sleeps all 6 of us. Lots of restaurants close by and just a few minutes from Six Flags! We stay there when we go to Sea World too, even though Sea World is a little farther out of town!

We go to San Antonio almost every summer and we hit Schlitterbahn Water Park too in nearby New Braunfels!! Fun!

Where do you guy's get your Sea World tickets? I was looking at the one day prices and darn it's not too much more to just get a season pass. It's something like $50 verses $75 from Sea World itself. I was thinking we might be able to squeeze an afternoon at Sea World in Orlando when we go in April if I go with the season passes.

We used to live in TX and went to Fiesta Texas alot, but now we live in NY, boo hoo. We usually stay at a resort, very expensive Hyatt Hill Country. My girlfriend has stayed at the embassy suites the other poster mentioned. If it is the one I remember we stayed at the holiday inn very close to it and it was acceptable. DO NOT stay at the holiday inn at the riverwalk, I think it is on St. Mary's street? It was terrible. If you are going into San Antonio besides the riverwalk our ds enjoyed the alamo, the alamo imax movie at the rivercenter mall, also they have some other alamo movie that we went to, of course ripleys believe it or not, but my kids really enjoyed the buckhorn museum., its a strange but interesting place. A note about Fiesta Texas, if you go during the hotter times of year, that water park area fills up really fast, its like going with the salmon upstream. and the park itself is built into the side of a granite quarry, so it is unbearablly hot in the summer. The gullywasher ride cooled us off. Its a fun day and worth the money, I cant remember the shows we saw, the change them every so often.
