We have multiple gift cards that we intended to use for APs for our family. MS can only use 2 forms of payment per transaction, so that won't work. Ticketing uses the same system and suggested that we go to the Disney Store and exchange them for a single card. They won't do it (no big deal) but now we are trying to figure out what our next option is.

We don't want to carry all of these gcs with us on our trip if we don't have to as it isn't a small amount. We are doing a 4-night cruise prior to the visit and will be heading straight from the port to the park. I thought of stopping at DTD on our way to the port to buy our APs, but that would reduce our AP by 4 days. Any suggestions on how to do this? It is the first time we are using our points/perks as we just became members this spring!

Thanks in advance.

At the parks' guest relations, they can use more than 2 forms of payment so you can use multiple gift cards. In the past, they were limited to only a few (although I think it might have been 3) but that changed sometime in the last year or so, per Cheshire Figment, our DIS ticketing expert. There may still be some upper limit, but I don't know what it is.

So after your cruise, head to guest relations outside whatever park you are going to and get the APs.

The other option is to do each AP purchase as a different transaction so that you can use 2 cards for each one.

Have you tried to order a bigger GC through the Disney store online? Not sure if that would work but it could be worth a try.

Good luck!

You can also do it as a room charge, then use the GC to pay down the balance.

Just re-read. Missed that you're trying to purchase them in advance.

Is there the possibility of buying a park pass voucher for 7 days (or whatever would be less than the $419 or so an AP would be, and upgrade at the gate? We are just trying to avoid having all this $$ in gcs on us since it will be a two-day drive down.

I won't bother with all of this again. It has been a pain!

Absolutely, but you don't need to upgrade at the gate, you can upgrade once inside the parks at guest relations/services.
