Kitty, Norton, and I suppose any good virus protection software, scans incoming emails before they are allowed to reside on the computer (My Outlook Express looks for emails every 60 seconds). If Norton senses that it is a virus, I get a popup, saying it nailed something and asks what I want to do with it. (Default is quarantine it). I click okay, it gets quarantrined and then I delete it. I get probably up to a half dozen or so a week, mostly klez's of late. You MUST keep your definitions up to date, hopefully automatically.
