Could Someone please inform me about the slide athon?

Two events... First the Slide a thon, where the hosts open up a bunch of ride rooms and we ride over and over and over to get free things (we dont know what yet)

Second event is another building contest.... that is what the teams are for...

The slide-aton is in the staff/host rooms and it will be like any other staff room game **every hard to get into**.

You will have to wait through the queue of 50 before entering the staff room. In the past they had 3 rooms you have to go through and in the third room the prize is automatic put in your inventory, then they kick you into a public vmk room. You could get in the queue and do it again.

I think in the last ride-aton, there were mulitple rooms to start in.

They also had a problem with starting it on time, (the posted time on the front page) and were like a hour and a half late starting. They never corrected the time on the front page and a lot of people lost out on playing for prizes. They did leave the ride-aton open longer but again they didn't repost that information on the front page and again even more people missed out.

I ended up leaving the whole game and the house at an hour into the posted game time and never returned to the game after - the posted time on the front page. I was totally beyond pissed when I found out the next day.

Oh that sounds like fun. I never do host's games and stuff because it's way too hard to get into. But if it's like the high school musical preview where they had multiple rooms than that would be great. I really don't feel like wasting a weekend being disconnected while waiting for 50 other people to go before me.

Also, guests are moved automatically through the rooms so the queue to get into the room goes fairly quickly. You are allowed to ride multiple times to get the prize again, unlike Q quests where you can only get the prize once. If it is like the Everest ride-a-thon, there will be a different prize for each day; something on Saturday and something else on Sunday.

One good thing the Staff did the last time was to ensure that if a guest got "bumped" out of the ride and ended up at the "front door" of the next room, they could get back on instead of having to start over. Previous events, this problem was overlooked (Halloween Maze) and guests that were bumped had no way to get back into the maze.

Okay, stupid question but I don't usually go to guest rooms or host rooms. How do we know where to go and wait in line for this thing?

Okay, stupid question but I don't usually go to guest rooms or host rooms. How do we know where to go and wait in line for this thing?

on the calander, it'll say which room the ride-athon is in. you can look through the list of popular guest rooms, and the ride room is usually first on the list. then you click to enter, the room will be too crowded, and you will have to wait in a quick queue until it's your turn to enter the room. once you get in the room, you can ride right away.
