Hi There,
We are planning our first trip to Universal,we really wanted to stay at the Portofino,however for two of the nights we will be there they were totally full.So I made our reservation for the Hard Rock.Now I have heard so many conflicting reports about the Hard Rock,some people totally love it and other have had really awful experiences.I want this trip to be enjoyable for all of us. What do you suggest??Is the Hard Rock ok or would you go to the Royal Pacfic??Honestly.

I have stayed at RPR and loved it! I have heard good and bad things about the HRH. Last time I went to Universal, I visited the resort, took a tour and had them show me a room. I was impressed. So much so, that I am going back next week for my very first stay. I have read the bad reviews, but am not worried, until I have my very own experience. I will bring back a review for you to read so, keep your eyes open. But i know what you mean about PBH. It is a great resort. I stayed there last year and love it!

Have stayed at HRH 3 years in a row and going back Aug 12 we all love it. I wouldn't worry about negative posts. They are what they are. ie: one persons opinion and/or one persons bad experience or experiences. Your experience may and will differ.

Has a lot to do with realistic expectations.

Ref disppointed on this board - poster (Corryn) has admitted to a case of foot in mouth - so take it all in stride.

You might do better asking on the Resorts and Hotels Forum. I've stayed at all 3 and the rooms were always great at every hotel. Service has been better at RPR than the other 2.
