Could some plese come paint my ceiling

I just can't get motivated to do it. Until i do that i can't paint the walls.... The walls are primed so I have to finish. I would rather DIS.
P.S. I'll play a Disney CD for you while you paint.

DH painted ours. It looked so much better, after he finished. I love to paint with a brush, but I'm lousy with a roller.

I love to paint, but I hate to do ceilings.... not even for a Disney CD.... or a dirty, Grey Goose martini with 3 olives.

I really hate the spatters that cover me afterwards.

No way, No How! I just finished my ceiling yesterday. It took four coats of paint!
I'm taking a break today, but will start on the walls tomorrow.

No way Jose! Fortunately I didn't have to do my ceilings... I just finished two bathrooms, a living room, family room, kitchen, dining area and a hallway. Now I just have to do the den and 3 bedrooms. I don't think I could've faced it if I had to do the ceilings. Sad thing is that when we sell, the new house will probably have to be painted too. ARGH!

I don't have the patience to tape everything and then paint - drives me nuts. We are waiting for our beloved dog to die (she is 14.5 - not being morbid here, just realistic), then we will get new carpeting and paint the whole house. That is when I will paint - when I don't have to worry about a drop cloth for the floor! But this carpet really has to go and the walls sooooo need to be painted....Hey, I think I'll have a painting DIS meet, what do think?!

Evil Princess - an art dork, huh? I have a few places that would look great to have a wall mural painted!

Do any of you use a sponge technique on your walls? That effect looks kind of neat - or are solid color walls more common again?

And what nifty colors are you painters using these days?
