Generally they have the kids ages and don't bother with PINs til they turn 18 or 21 ..

Generally. I'm not sure when you're planning on traveling but whatever public fall offer they will make, will likely come in early April.

Our 13 yr old received a 40% off pin last year ...which in turn our family/parents used. It certainly doesn't hurt to ask.

My 10 year old had a PIN once, but she was listed in the Disney system as being 18 for some reason. I was able to use it since she was going on the trip.
