Could I have had W.N. Virus

On Sunday I started feeling ill. By monday I had flu like symptoms, stiff neck and headaches. I was not running a fever so I didn't think much about it...until today. DH found a dead blue jay in the back yard. I wonder, we have had so much rain.

I called the board of health and left a message, about the bird.

I remember Snowwark doing a post on this at the beginning of the year. I did do some research on WNV, and it sounds like that what I had. I am better now but concerned if this virus is in our area.

mamu..how frightening for you. i would call the dr because lyme has those symptoms which go away but still leave you with lyme...I wonder if WNV does the same. it's unusual to have flu like symptoms in the summer.

Definitely do a follow up with the doctor (your friends insist!).

I would definitely go see the dr. If anything it will give you peace of mind.

Yes I'm better, board of health could care less, no complications, so according to the doctor I'm fine.

On the flip side busy, busy, busy. We had a family reunion Sunday at MIL old house, which is now DD new house. In the summer every Sunday was family day. Aunt's, Uncle's and Cousin's. Not the best swimming weather, but it was great to all get together again. (over 60 of us) My has this family grown.

Busy school shopping, every year I take the grandchildren shopping and purchase the outfits for the first week. I now have 4 attending school. (this is getting expensive)

Trying to get everything together, I leave in 3 weeks plus I'm filling in at work this week, I don't know who gave everybody the same week off. All I know is I'm working everyday, plus saturday. I'll need a vacation after this week.

What a nice grandmother you are!

I went to a family reunion last weekend at my MIL's. We had about 60 people also. It was hectic, but fun! Oh, the weather stunk for us too!
