I really want a BWV add on but it's not in the budget right now...but I thought:D :D :D maybe somebody else had a few :teeth: :teeth: extra dollars laying around that I might be able to purchase some more points with.....:smooth: :smooth:

Don't have the money to lend and I doubt you'll find anyone who does but I like your sense of humor. I see that you've been to several Disney locations. We're going in Dec. with 4 grandchildren and their parents, (ages 4,5,8,9). Please share with me the most special place you've stayed. I kind of like the Boardwalk area but Swan and Dolphin also sound nice.

Thanks for any tips you can share.

I know the feeling, zurgswife! But I am taking in my rolled change to the bank this week now that I have saved enogh "spare change" for a 7 day park hopper plus.

I recently received a blank cash advance check from a credit card company for 3.9% interests (until finished, not one of those cheap several month offers). I very nearly used it for an add-on, but I am trying to move the other way on my debts.

I've been more then tempeted a few times with those 0% offers that I get...but I'm controling my urge...something I don't do very often.....

Wendyq...We love the BWV for the location...the walk to Epcot as well as MGM. And the fact that in the evening it is a nice place to stroll. This Christmas we are splitting our time with 5days BWV then 3 days Dolphin and then 5 days BWV.....Dh and I enjoyed our stay at the Swan during DISCon so we decided to spend the very high Weekend Christmas points there...Can't wait still have the location but I'm using Starwood points (no cash)....

Depending on your budget....but I would highly recommend the BWV...or BCV my kids love both pools (though we don' get to enjoy SAB anymore).....We haven't stayed at the Swan/Dolphin with kids yet but I hear it is great....

Sounds like there are some other "vacation poor" DVCers out there. Last time we went back we bought more points and doubled what we had. Now, I look back and can't believe we did it. We weren't in debt before Disney.... :(

Oh well....we have such great memories! :p

Can't take the money with you.

Enjoy your vacations!!!!:Pinkbounc

I'd give it to to you in a minute except Zurg hurt my feelings with OKW comments. ;) ;) ;) ;) ;)

I've got that same temptation. Food? Who needs food? POINTS are what we need! ;)

Thanks for the start Ncligs......

Pam....sorry about Zurgs verbal faux pax.....

We stayed at the Dolphin for a two-night mini-trip in January. Wife had a convention to go to and I was 'forced' to go :p

We enjoyed the hotel, but we spent most of the time in the parks. Great location between Epcot and MGM, but you already know that. :)

It wasn't a lengthy stay, but it did the trick. Had to get my Disney fix in!

Zurgswife,

It's funny you wrote that, I was thinking the same thing. Then I thought, how can I make some extra money and have fun doing it. then I thought, I will try and tak everyone I know into joining DVC and us the commission money to buy more points. Let's see, if you get $200 for the first, $350 for the second, and $500 for the third, how much are you at by the time you hit the max of 20 per year? Well, got to go start calling everyone I know.

One possibility is to rent out your current points for a little extra $$ for some additional BWV points. You'll be skipping a vacation to invest in additional future vacations. Just a thought.

Well, I wanted to hold out hope that DVC points are not like heroin or potato chips.....

We just went through bonus time and have enough for several hundred points in our savings account - and more DVC points isn't even on the list of things we are considering doing with the money.

(Unfortunately, neither is loaning it out to someone else for DVC points, at least, not without 18% interest. :smooth: )

What a cheapskate! You could just as well have given her 100's! (At least my quote helped out a little. ;) )

Something tells me that the Zurg family has used ALL their points for the big XMAS blow out and has none to rent! LOL!

Sorry Zurgswife, I just took the money I was saving up to give you and made a downpayment on an OKW add-on! You can come visit, though:p

My birthday is Friday, so I strongly hinted to my husband last week that I wanted more BWV points, and I would not mind financing them, but I was a little short on the downpayment. He completely surprised me when he offered to pay half the downpayment(he does not care for Disney or the BW, and prefers OKW to anywhere else). I checked his pulse first, then his forehead, before kissing him!!!;) I am the proud owner of 150 of the "foundling" BWV points, and I am thrilled. Just extended our June trip today and invited my sister, all before the Fed-Ex man arrived with my new backpack and my paperwork with palm trees and mickey ears. And DH is happy enough...we will be at OKW in June! And the kids are happy...we will be at BWV in October! (And when the kids ask why they can't go to college...we'll say "because we went to Disney World";)

:D :D :D :D

Unfortuneatly PA doesn't let anybody get credits for referals...:( :( :(

I guess I'll just have to keep praying for the lottery....Thanks everybody...:D :D :D :D

I will gladly front you the necessary funds to accomplish this.
