Could ABC buy "Enterprise"?

Sounds like a neat show. I used to like the original ST. Now, the next question, what is UPN??
UPN is the United Paramount Network. Its the lowest rated of the five big networks (CBS,ABC,Fox, WB and UPN). It may not be offered in your area. Our cable providers gets it from a San Antonio station.

LOL! I think you forgot NBC! And I'm not sure people in the industry would include The WB and UPN in the "big network" category. (or ABC for that matter :) )

Actually, Eisner and Barry Diller tried to start a network back in their day at Parmount but it never got off the ground. That's why Star Trek - The Next Generation ended up being syndicated. Eisner should thank UPN now for instead of being second from the bottom ABC is only third from the bottom.

We are huge Star Trek fans here!

I actually like Enterprise (have always liked Scott Bakula) but I agree that I am tired of this storyline. I really like when there are new and different problems each week.. its OK to to have a few shows that carry a running theme, but after a whole season, it gets boring.

I really do not want it to end. I always thought there would be something between T'pol and Archer and was disappointed when she hooked up with Tripp.

I hope they quite this whole Xindi thing and get back to interesting different storylines!

I liked all the Star Treks except DS9 - just couldn't get interested in that one. The current Enterprise is the least favorite for me excluding DS9. I do hope that there will still be a Star Trek next year.

I know there are some here that would disagree, but I don't feel Enterprise was ever a quality series. The writing is not of the calibur of earlier Star Trek series, the characters are not interesting and they keep finding new excuses for T'Pol to get naked (which I grant you is fun to watch, but is really a mark of desparation to get people to tune in).

In my opinion, Star Trek reached its zenith with Deep Space 9 (the best Trek ever, bar none) It managed to remain better than average with Voyager (after its second season), but then it jumped the galactic shark with Enterprise.

The show will probably be canceled because no one wants to watch it. No network in their right mind will consider picking it up. Enterprise is truly the series that boldly sucks where no show has sucked before.

unfortunately, i have to say i agree (except for the part about DS9 being the best ST ever -- i am a TNG fan :p ) . i love star trek, and i really wanted to like this show. i keep tuning in on the off chance that there may be a good episode (a few have been ok).

besides the whole t'pol thing, the major issue i have is that the storylines move SOOOOOOOOO SLOOOOOOOOOOOOWLY.

enterprise is even starting to lose dh's attention, which is truly sad. ;) :p :teeth:

Well, in at least one alternate timeline this season, T'Pol did spend a lifetime with Archer. Then she spent a lifetime, and a family, with Tripp. Just how many timelines are we going to have here anyway???

This storyline has dragged far too long. It would have made an excellent 2 or even three part episode, but now the whole thing seems almost pointless. With such a "rich" Trek history to explore (Vulcans, Romulans, Kirk's father, etc.) who needs the Xindi.

I do enjoy the show, and I sincerely hope that it continues on some network. Not nearly so excellent as Voyager, but this show has potential. We just certainly haven't seen it yet.

While at a Star Trek convention DH asked Conner Trinneer if he really got paid to rub Vaseline all over Jolene Blalock in one of the earlier Enterprise episodes.

He replied "Yeh, sometimes you just have to take one on the chin for the Home Team."

I agree that the Enterprise story line is lacking. The plan seems to just be "Let's Do The Time Warp Again" and fix whatever didn't work last season.

My fav space opera of all time was Babylon Five. Great story, memorable, three dimensional characters, and really good FX (special effects) for a TV series.
