could 13-year-old accompany 8-year-old on TOT?

Hello,
I will be going to Disneyland this year with just my kids who are 13, 8, and 6. The 13- and 8-year-old loved rides like Tower of Terror and Space Mountain when we were there last year, and my 6-year-old and I didn't like them. I would be happy with the 13- and 8-year-olds riding these rides together on their own, but it's just occurring to me that maybe the 6-year-old would only be able to ride with me, the adult? The ride description says that young children should be accompanied by an adult. I guess, though, according to Disney park tickets, my 13-year-old is an adult and my 8-year-old, since his birthday is in September, will be two months away from being an adult:) Has anyone had this kind of situation?
Thanks!

My experience is from our WDW trip in August.

DS8 rode Tower of Terror, Rock N Roller Coaster and Expedition Everest alone many times. We always had a FP and dropped him off at FP entrance and picked him up at the ride exit. The CM's asked how old he was and each told us 7 and over could ride alone.

On the flip side, at Space Mountain and the Dumbo-like Dinosaur ride at AK, he and DD6 were going to ride together without me. DD wasn't allowed because she wasn't 7 yet so I rode with them. Not sure if they would consider 13 being old enough to supervise a 6 year old or not - may have to be an actual adult.

This is just our experience, maybe someone will have the Disney Official Answer.

A child must be 7 years old or older to ride unaccompanied by an adult. Your 13 year old and 8 year old will be fine together or even riding alone separately. Your 8 year old and 6 year old most likely will not be allowed to ride alone together. Don't know about the 13 year old and 6 year old together, but don't be surprised if you have to ride with the 6 year old.

Whether a Disney park ticket classifies a child as an adult or child has more to do with their pricing schemes than whether they will let that child supervise another child on a ride. I doubt for instance that they would let a 10 year old stand in as the adult supervisor for a 3 year old on a ride. BTW, I may have misunderstood, but I wanted to clarify that children pay child's prices until they turn 10, so you can still buy a child ticket for your 9-year old.

No problem, it's within the rules. I would walk with them through the line though. Just tell the CM at the elevator that you want the chicken exit. Then you can meet them at the exit after they ride.

I would tag along in the queue, just in case one of them changes their mind. Some people can be jerks and say inappropriate/frightening things while waiting.

Thank you, everyone! It would only be my 13-year-old with the 8-year-old (my 6-year-old will always ride with me), so it sounds like it should work okay!

Silly me, I just reread and realized that my original first post was not quite accurate. I meant to say that it occurred to me that the 8-year-old might not be allowed on ToT and such without me, the adult. I never meant to say the 6-year-old (she, of course, would always be with me on rides!)
Thank you all for your input!

I love this idea, as my 2 kids tend to fight amongst themselves, so it's better to have an adult monitoring them; you know, the older one bosses the younger one around so the younger one gets huffy with him. ;)
