Cough, Cough, Cough

Yes that is my DH this minute, and for the last week too. We need help now. He went to the doctors today. A perscription and x-ray, he got. We are going to Niagara Falls this weekend and he might be sleeping in the van if it doesn't stop SOON. He has been sleeping on the couch for a week now, so I can sleep too. I just started a cool mist vaporizer. Doesn't honney help your throat ?

Warm tea should help and lots of throat lozenges. I like the ones that have honey in them.

He probably needs a cough syrup with codiene to control the coughing. Or something that will numb the tickling feeling in the throat and chest. It will probably take several days before the prescription meds kick in.

If the cough is related to excess phlegm (oooh sexy!), he may do well with mucinex or some other expectorant to help make coughs more productive. This usually helps shorten the duration of my cough.
