If I wanted to bring a couch and chair cover, could I? I thought about brining one, and I saw one person mention it on another board. I don't know what Disney would have an issue with it..but I just want to be sure.

Also....has anyone tried using renters wallpaper? It's by a company called, "Easy-walls". It was a product shown on Oprah (here's the link: http://www.oprah.com/slideshow/home/decorating/slideshow2_ss_decor_20080425_350/2). It's specially designed for renters. It goes on the walls and when you're done with it, it just peels off the walls. It peels off the walls, without applying water or any of the other remedies to take wallpaper off. This just comes off dry. It does zero harm to the walls or the paint on the walls. I've never used this (simply bc I don't rent, so there's no need for it) but, those who have used it, LOVE this product. It works just as described. Would Disney care about this product? It can go up on the walls and then be peeled off when the CP was over, without changing the walls or causing any kind of damage to the walls. Has anyone tried it before?

Just in case anyone has any questions about or more info than I gave:

Slip covers are fine by Disney- I've known a lot of people to use them.

I don't know of anyone to use that product in the apartments, but my intuition tells me that it probably wouldn't be preferred by Disney/Price Management - if allowed at all. The housing community codes state the following:

2. Decorations should not be displayed, placed, attached, hung or affixed on, to or from any doors, ceilings, windows, sprinklers, balconies or railings (including without limitation, beer cans, caps, cartons, wine, liquor bottles, curtains, tree/twinkle lights, clothing, dart boards, or towels). All small pictures, etc. should be attached to a bulletin board instead of having multiple pin or nail holes. Do not use ticky-tack adhesive. All furniture, furnishings and fixtures must remain inside and should not be moved, changed, supplemented or replaced unless done so by Management.

oh, I assumed they didn't want any of that bc it had potential to ruin the walls/leave holes in the walls/ruin the paint/etc. Since this did none of that, I thought I'd ask. I didn't realize they were against any personality in the apartments at all. That's kinda sucky.

We used the sticky-tack (gum adhesives) and easy-peel decals(like in nurseries) in our apartment. No one said a thing...

Makes sure you use the blue tack...not the yellow. The yellow stains sometimes...

Most of the apartments look nearly identical I'm afraid, but they are as reasonable as most dorms...

I don't think it would be worth the hassle even if you could put up the wallpaper. There is a good chance half your roommates will leave and you'll be moved. And seriously don't waste your extra money. You'll need it once you get there.
During my housing meeting, somebody asked if you could use those command hooks that pull off with no mess and they said no.

But on the TV channel they have for the CPs they featured a segment on making a wall mural out of a surfing magazine. Go figure.

I put up posters all over. With tacks. There were already a lot of holes in our walls. We always did great on inspections.
We had couch covers and big fuzzy rugs to add personality. I even put up lights, garland, and stockings for the holidays! Everybody commented how creative our apartment was!

We put up christmas lights (when it wasn't christmas) and huge pictures that required nails and always did great during inspections, no one really seemed to care that we had them up.

There is this stuff called Uppercase Living, uppercaseliving.com . It has a lot of different designs and pictures, words, quotes, and you can make your own. It just applies to a wall. It is super easy and peels right off. It does not peel off the paint and I don't think that it would break the rule. There are tons of different colors.. it is awesome. Plus, you can put it on anything.. not just walls. At college, I have it on canvas, the wall and my trashcan. I also have it on my laptop(my name.) My aunt sells it so if you need any help you can pm me.
