Well after much browsing the internet we finally got around to choosing our MNSSHP costumes. DS wanted to go in his Jack Sparrow outfit so we thought we may as well all go in the same theme. So DH has now got an adult Jack Sparrow full outfit it was only ordered yesterday afternoon and it came 1st class recorded delivery cost including shipping and VAT £53.94 from www.fancydressnation.co.uk they are in Birmingham.
Mine is a woman's 3 piece Gold Doubloon Pirate outfit with Swashbuckler hat and Booty Bag for £74 ordered over the phone from Jokers' Masquerade but it took two attempts to get an order from them. Here's why.....
There was an issue with their website which meant DH's card details were possibly fraudulently intercepted by a 3rd party!! Luckily the credit card company's fraud department rang us straight away and told us what was going on so now DH's had to cut up the card and have a new one issued and the account has been stopped until it's all sorted out again it's a bit of a nightmare but at least they know what's going on and will keep us informed. Thank goodness for card protection that's all I keep thinking
Jokers' Masquerade have been in touch about it and the credit card company and the company who set up the secure website have also been on the phone . We told them what info we had and they are looking into it they thought that the site was secure they started using 3D security system on the site but the credit card company have said only used sites with Secure Code on them, we thought this one had it. Just please be aware that this problem has happened before any of you place an order. If like me the only place you can find the outfit you want is on www.joke.co.uk then please ring them to place your order as at the moment I'm very reluctant to use the site for online orders again and I wouldn't wish this on anyone else. Apparently there has been lots of card cloning going on in the London area and people have been ordering goods to sell in other fancy dress shops with these details so be aware of the problem.
