Of course I would love the kids to wear Disney costumes, but I am worried there will be a million Cinderella's and Little Mermaids. Just wondering what everyone is going to be, or if anyone has any original ideas?

I wanted my girls to be in their tennis shoes for walking, obviously!!! And princess dresses are quite bulky, also.

Sooo, I opted for new cheerleader suits from our favorite college team. They should not be hot in them, and their shoes will match fine....

I'm still at a loss! I'm afraid of the possible heat in early Oct. I also don't want to lug big costumes on an airplane. I may check out Halloween t-shirts and keep it simple with shorts and matching shirts.

I'd like to do something fun, but really have no ideas!
I'm not much help, but at least you're not alone! ;)

Hey there! well me and my family are going this year to the party and we have decided to all dress in a common theme! My little brother (4) is going to be Captin Hook, My Mother (36) Is going to be wendy, my father(36) will be Mr. Smee, And Me at age 15 will be Peter Pan. I can't wait for this i think it is going to be so much fun for all of us. So if you would like to wear a costume as well its a fun idea to have a common theme between you and your family. Well hope this helps!

I just want to do matching Halloween t-shirts and shorts but DD (6) insisits on wearing a costume. I ordered her a simple princess (non-Disney  ) dress and tiara. It's loose fitting and is made of a light material. It's not bulking and doesn't have that crinolin (sp?) stuff that can get itchy. I'll just have her wear her tennis shoes since the dress is long.

I ordered some cute Halloween t-shirts for myself and I'm not sure what DH wants to do. He had mentioned wearing his uniform that he used to wear for Civil War re-enacting but I told him he'd get too hot!

(I can't believe our trip is in less than 7 weeks!!!)

I want to wear a 1950's costume (poodle skirt)

I have no idea what my son's going to wear. Every costume he has come up with will not work in the MK. Since the trip is a surprise, I can't tell him why I keep saying no to his ideas.:(

We have a super hereo theme going. All of us in super hereos. My son and Husband started it off, and my daughter and myself just sorta of followed suit. I wanted to wear a genie costume, but thought I would look out of place with the rest of them being super hereos. Oh well, it is going to be so fun!!!
I cant believe it is getting so close, 45 days and counting!!!!

Yes, adults dress up too !!! We (2 adults) went last year. We were wearing matching mousekateer bowling shirts that we bought at the Disney Store back in 1999. I wore a podle skirt 7 my friend wore jeans. I got 2 trick or treat bags at Target (99 cents) that were round and black ~ looked like bowling balls!

I am trying to come up with some ideas for this year that can be simple & not cost too much. My friend already lives there, so that makes it extra difficult! Thinking of pirates, or princesses or witches or Egyptian/Grecian or......... :D

Last year my son went as Spiderman. Every character we came across acted scared of him at first and then they would act like spiderman too. He had a blast!

We are going to decide at the last minute if we are going (and if there are still tickets available). Because of this - and that we already have too much to pack and drag down without worrying about Halloween costumes, we aren't going to pack much in the way of costumes.

My son can be a bat. His bat cape can pack in about four square inches. Pack his teeth and the bat becomes a vampire. Not an extensive costume.

My daughter can go even simplier. Felt puppy ears and a tail.

Plus, I can pop this in my backpack with an eyeliner pencil and dress the kids at the gate in about two minutes. No going back to the hotel.

My cast includes:
Me (35)
Brother (31)
SIL (31)
niece (2)
nephew (3) will turn four in WDW
Mom (59)
Sister (27)

We are going as the Mousekeeters. I have shirts all embroidered and we are all wear our monogrammed ears and black shorts. Fun and comfort all in one!

Can't wait!

My youngest dd is going to get Disney Lilo costume, my older one is going to be her big sister (surf shorts and a t-shirt) and DH and I will wear Hawaiian shirts and shorts - very easy and cool for all of us! If it is cool the night we are there I have a Mickey Halloween sweatshirt I usually wear to bring my kids trick or treating.

My 4 you niece has Disney Aurora costume! Not sure about rest of our group!

Not going this year.:( :(
I went last year ant there was a family that was going to dress all in green (lime green of course)
And they were going to call them selfs
"The Gang Green"
lol :jester:

Last year, Dh and I wore our wedding shirts and our wedding ears! (mine were minnie ears with a veil, his a top hat with ears) We were married in disney on oct 21 and it was the lsat day of an amazing trip! This year we are going to celebrate our 1 year wedding anniversary...I can't decide what to wear?! Any ideas??

Last time we went My husband was Indiana Jones he had the hat vest and even the whip and all I can say is What a Man! I got lots of compliments all night.

Disneyjunkie..
We will be your neighbor for a week! We are staying at Sports from Sept 30-Oct 7!! Which party are you going to?? We are doing October 5th. I just got my tickets in the mail Friday. Woohooooooo! Both of my dd's have really cute poodle skirt costumes, and my oldest dd has a 'pink ladies' costume from last year. Im trying to get her to wear pink ladies since my younger is wearing her poodle skirt! they are both light weight, and short sleeves. Both would look cute with plain white comfy tennis shoes. I dont know what me and my almost 2 year old ds will be. I want to dress up!! Its my first party and i LOVE halloween!! How old is your son? How 'bout a Pirate.. since Pirates of the carribean is showing. You could do a cute costume for that.. and it would probably be cheap! tell him he can have a eye patch and a fake hook for a hand!! haha
