Hi everyone.
We have tickets for Mickeys not so scary halloween at the magic kingdom, for the 31st oct 2005.Everyone is really excited about this as although we often go to orlando for our holidays,we have never been to this event.is there anyone who has some knowledge of any websites that we could get some HALLOWEEN COSTUMES  :thewave: from.We have looked at a couple of sites where there were some terrific costumes,at very good prices, but once the international shipping to theU.K was added it becomes expensive.please help if anyone can.

many thanks

Hi

We have dobe MNNSHP a couple of times now and take costumes form the UK. Everyone dresse sup even adults but they don't wear what we in the UK would call Halloween costumes. They tend to wear any costume - i.e. disney characters, fairies, pirates etc not just witches/wizrads/ghosts. We buy from Asda!!! The other place we hve seen good one is Wal-Mart - cheap and look good!

Have fun - we did!!!!

Hi
We are at MNSSHP on the 7th October. I think only DS will take his outfit from the UK, he wants to be Woody. I was going to get it out there but knew he would be gutted if we couldn't get one.
DH and I may dress up but have a trip to Walmart.
As you are in Orlando could you ask them to ship to your accommodation ? Otherwise try Woolies and Asda.

Try sillyjokes.com. DD got a red indian outfit here for school art week for £10 & is wearing to MNSSHP on 13/10. Don't forget you don't have to dress as a Disney character, altho' last time DD went in her snow White costume. Hope you have a really great time.

Hi

We have been looking on the net ourselves here are a couple of places we found from a search from google i have also included the search link.

http://www.fancydress-costumes.co.uk/

http://www.joke.co.uk/

http://www.google.com/search?source...,GGLD:2005-02,GGLD:en&q=halloween+costumes+uk

I am not too sure what to dress up like as I am overweight they dont tend to do bigger sizes so it will be harder for me unless I pay someone to make it and then it will be expensive. I am not sure.

Good luck and hope this helps you.

Regards
Michelle

Hi eblue

Just wanted to say have a great time at the party!! I think it's the most fun I've ever had at WDW, and me and DH are in our mid-20s with no kids! I was eating the candy for weeks afterwards!

Have a great trip.

Hi
Some fantastic info here,we will have no problem kitting out for Mickeys halloween. What can i say except many thanks for all of your expertise and help, and Disney here we come. wahoo!

I think I'll be a fairy if we go along to one of these. Does anyone know if a plastic wand will be allowed in (I suppose it could be seen as a weapon!), would it be allowed in my suitcase?

Does everyone dress up at MNSSHP? Scott is refusing to do anything, even wear a pair of Mickey ears or similar as he thinks he'd look stupid. I don't want to be with the only non dressed up person in the whole of MK!

buy over there from wal mart, k mart etc, we did last year , it was so cheap.
dh was a pirate and had a plastic sword so dont worry about your fairy wand!!! :wizard:

Just had a look at the www.Fancydress-costumes.co.uk site and they've got some fabulous outfits! Some of them are very naughty so i won't let Hubby anywhere near that site!!! We're not going till next year but i've already bookmarked that one and quite fancy going as either a lady pirate or Dorothy from The Wizard of Oz! I would love to have a family theme going on and could see my daughter as the good fairy but can't imagine Hubby would be too impressed dressed as a Scarecrow!!!! ;)

As an adult, I would say it was about 50:50 for dressed v. undressed. Some people just had co-ordinated t-shirts etc & others went the whole way. We did not dress up, although DD & her cousin did & we in no way felt left out or superior (If that makes sense). What ever you decide to do, have a great time & don't forget the free face painting can finish your costumes off!

Hi Queenie

We didn't dress up either, and didn't feel left out. I don't think my hubby would have been up for it either, and I wouldn't have wanted to dress up on my own. Plus, I was suffering from acute sinusitis, and just wanted to be comfortable! It's a mark of how good the party is that it made me feel so much better!

Hya

We went to this a few years ago and got everything from wallmart i went as a witch (which didn't need a lot of makeup so my hubby tells me :rotfl2: ) DH went as a clown (again no makeup needed :rotfl2: ) DS who was 9 at the time went as dracula and DS who was 1 1/2 at the time went as a very cute cuddle giraffe - i think in total it came to about $48 but it was worth every cent - so funny !!!! plus because they celebrate it sooooo much over there they have so many more choices to pick from - go for it!!! have fun!!!

Netty I am lucky enough to have a mum that can make anything and she made me the minnie mouse costume as i am not the standerd size i found it hard to get a nice costume that would fit me from fancy dress shops and websites nothing Disney anyway the one thing i cant find our any yellow minnie shoes if anyone has any ideas please post them thanks .

:cheer2:

Ebay has a great fancy dress section and most sellers have ebay shops with a large selection.

They're usually quite cheap, too.

I wouldn't feel self conscious about dressing up or not dressing up -- there will be many like you, either way! I wore a Disney villains t shirt (had also meant to streak my hair orange but it didn't work!) My mother didn't dress up, but she has gorgeous white hair and put some plastic spiders in it -- got some wonderful reactions from people when they'd accidently notice. Good laughs.

Keep in mind, it might be very warm -- I wore shorts on Halloween night at Disney 2 years ago. So keep the costumes light. (I grew up in New England, and many years we had to wear a heavy coat over/under our precious costumes -- always ruined the fun! Not a problem in Florida, however!)
