Costumes for MHT

I found so many good ideas for costumes. My DH and I have never dressed up for Halloween so we are trying to be creative. Everything that I am finding would restrict us from riding rides! AAHHH!!!

What are you wearing?
Does a lot of parents dress up?

We arent going to wear costumes, but I am going to get glow sticks/necklaces for us to wear. I might see if I can get us some spooky shirts.

My DH and I are going to be CRAZY hawiian Tourists. DH is not exactly the dress up kind, but this only requires wearing a Hawiian shirt and some oversized sun glasses. I really cant wait. Im getting sooooo excited for it to be here.

Heehee, we'll be one of the pirate couples! The funny thing is, I have no interest in pirates, really... but my boyfriend wanted to dress up and I want to match him. Oh well, all least there are lots of options!

I haven't decided if I'm wearing a costume yet, but I'm thinking about using some of the things I have here: Star Trek costumes, old-time baseball uniforms (including the pants ), or my Reniasance Festival outfit...

i just went to knotts & they don't allow costumes, but since i love it so much. I wore a skirt that had glow in the dark/ UV reactive eyes. It was all god spirits.

I have to admit that the only reason I want to go to the MHT is so I can wear a costume at DL. The last time I did was when I was Sally at the Nightmare Party about 3 years ago!

Well unless you agree with the CM who was very unsure if I was wearing a costume of not on Goth Day (I wasn't), it was funny!!!

Super Easy Costume ideas;

Wear your favorite PJ's
Be an old couple in housecoats/robes, guys in shorts, socks and sandals
Wedding Gowns are cheap and easy to find at thrift stores Guys in a bad thrift store Tux.
Dress like you are going to prom with flowers
Dark Suit and be a mortican or Gomez Adams
Black Dress/Robe be a witch or warlock
Cheap Scrubs and you can be a Doctor


I have a bunch more, hehehe! I love costumes and think thrift stores or your own closet are the best places to start. Just use your imagination and you will find something comfy and fun!

Yes, they are! It was the only way I could get my DH to dress up. I love Halloween and dressing up, so MHT is great, plus we can use our costumes for our DCL cruise in December for Pirate Night .
