Costumes @ Disney?..

I want to take my son to MNSSHP but can't find him a Disney costume...Does WDW park or Downtown Disney sell Halloween costumes?

There are stores in the parks, and the resorts also sell costumes, but the largest selection is at the World of Disney store at Downtown Disney. Prepare to pay big $$$, they are a little pricey but they are good quality though.

Unfortunately mostly all of the costumes I have seen online are either for infants, toddlers and adults...None that will fit my 8 year old, who wants to be sorcerer Mickey or goofy.

oooooo, haven't seen either of those there on any of our trips to the "world". The closest I've seen to either of them is the different hats with the ears. What you could do for Sorcerer Mickey is make the robe (simple, shift our of blue fabric with stars, then you can get the mickey hands at WOrld of Disney, along with the hat. Better yet, here's the number for Disney merchandising: 407-828-1451. They can tell you exactly what's available at the stores onsite. HTH!

Good luck with the costume, Oh yeah, I tried that number last week for something and got an automated thingy. Here's the number for Disney Mail Order too, maybe between the two of them you can find something out. 407-363-2600. Last summer, we were at Disney in July, knew we were planning on going back in October for the Halloween party. We actually took each princess dress and had one of our two girls try it on and took a photo. We came home and looked at these, then They decided and we ordered them closer to time so we would know that they would fit.

This year, our younger DD decided she had to be Jack Sparrow. Nothing satisfied her, so I had to make her costume from a pattern. Here's the funny part: I have never sewn a piece of clothing in my life! I am okay for purses, embroidery (machine) and mending. This was my first attempt at clothing. It actually went pretty well, and looks better than the premade costumes I've seen in Target.
