So I'm attending one of the Mickeys Halloween party and I have a question. Do adults really wear costumes or is it just for kids? I'm wanting to go dressed up but I'm worried. Thoughts!*:confused3

Adults really do, and some costumes are amazing. Adults can wear them when the party starts not in the morning during regular park hours.

Some of the adults have WAY more elaborate costumes than any of the kids. On one day we saw a whole group dressed as Ghostbusters, several Disney princesses in elaborate gowns, Flo from the Progressive ads (LOL), a family dressed as the seasons if I recall correctly, and a group dressed like the Electrical Parade. I myself wore a Belle village dress costume Mom had made for me back when I was a teenager and the movie FIRST came out. I added a cute little Chip purse (made by gutting a plushie :scared1: ), and was greeted by "name" by several CMs.

Dress up as much or as little as you want to; you will be fine! Have fun!

Oh yes!! Adult dd and I went as Tweedle Dum and Tweedle Dee a couple of years ago and last year we went as Minnie Mouse and Harry Potter. It's a lot of fun!! We were in line last year with one of the characters from HM. He had the coolest outfit! This year, I'm going with dh and the kids and we will be a family of garden gnomes :goodvibes

It's a good chance to have fun, dress up, and indulge the kid in you!

It's totally ok for adults to dress up. You will see many different costumes from jack sparrow to the mad hatter, its a good time!!!

Whenever we go the adults dress up as much (or more) than the kids. Two years ago it was 4 kids, 7 adults all in costume. 5 years ago it was 3 kids, 3 adults all in costume.

This year it will be 2 kids, 3 adults and we're all dressing up. DD13 will be Quorra from Tron Legacy, DD10 will be Chell from Portal 2, DH will be a Victorian Vampire, DGF will be an awesome Pirate and I will be a Ghost Bride (super amazing elaborate gorgeous wedding dress found at the Salvation Army for $50!!)!

This will be our first year going as well and I was worried about the same thing. But the cast member I bought our tickets from and my kids convinced me. We decided to all go as villains; I will be Mad Madam Mim, my dd is going to be the white witch from Narnia, and my son is Captain Hook.

Mine and my daughters we had to make our selves and I have never put so much work into a Halloween costume. I still have to finish up her dress and her "ice" crown.

Heck yeah! I was thoroughly amazed at how many adults I saw in costumes. I agree with the PP who said that adult costumes were more elaborate than the kids. I guess lots of folks were making up for past Halloweens and being too old to trick-or-treat for 20 years. :rotfl2:

I've told people that the party is worth going to just to see what people dress up as. It's pretty cool.

It's so much more fun seeing adults loosen up and be kids for one night and dress up!!!! DW and I are dressing up for the party on the 18th!!! We have spent more time finding pieces for our costumes than packing and planning for our trip :goodvibes
