:scratchin Okay, My Mom, Me, my best friend, and her Mom are going to MNSSHP. We're already getting costumes! :earseek: We are going to it for 3 nights and we are going to have different costumes for every night!

My BF is going to go as Tinkerbell, Dorthy (from Wizard of OZ), and Cindy Loo Hoo (from The Grinch). :p

Her Mom is going as Glenda the good witch (from OZ), and maybe the Grinch, she'll be something else but she doesn't know what, yet. :bitelip:

My Mom is going to go as a saloon girl, maybe a bumble-bee, and she wants to go as something else but, is still thinking about it. ::MinnieMo

I am thinking of maybe going as the Bride of Dracula, and maybe a HM ballroom dancer. I'm not sure if I'll be able to be the ballroom dancer because, I don't have a clue where to get a dress like they wear. :confused3

Do any of ya'll have any ideas for a costume? Thank you very much for any suggetions.

okay...before i help, lemme just give you my tips.
with costumes

-you really dont want anything to drag on the ground. its terrible and its also a safety hazard.

-avoid high heels, or big and clunky boots.

-white (or light colored) gloves really are to be avoided too. i wore white gloves two years ago, and by just going on rides, they came back black.

-wigs and colored spray arent too bad. but remember, even if its going to be at night and its going to be cooler, you will sweat. with a wig, its hotter because youre head naturally releases heat, and your own hair, beneath even more hair is double the hotness. with spray, if not applied properly with a good brand and hairspray, youll sweat it out and it will run down your face/neck and onto your costume. which is bad. if youre dead set on spraying/wearing a wig, lemme know, i can help you more ;)

-no fake weapons. it just isnt worth it to make/buy something really cool and have them confenscate it. if you must have a gun/sword, i recomend buying it at POTC inside the park ;)

-wings arent too bad. just remember, walking through crowds could cause you to hurt someone, or for someone to hurt your wings. they also can get snagged on things.

-your friend is doing tink, correct? take it from someone who did her 3 years back. shorts! shorts! shorts! no matter the length of the skirt i highly recommend shorts beneath skirts. trust me, getting on and off space mountain in little skirts stinks.

okay, as for a costume. hmmm. if youd really like to wear a gown, get out your phone book and look under costumes. try to find costume places where you can rent things. a gown, would require petticoats and possibly a crinilin (hoop skirt) this is probably going to cost a good $40 to $50. but id try and compromise with them.

you could do something from the phantom of the opera, meg seems easy. i bet you could also find a good dress for christine at a thrift store.

try google searching costumes. if you list some things youre interested in, i could help more that way. or you could also just wait until the first week of october when iparty and party city are rolling out their costumes. hot topic also has some that come out in oct. i know that if you sew youre on costumes, each pattern book keeps their costume selection out year round. try checking there too. simplicity has a pattern for christines masqurade gown, but its $16.99. ;)

i know this didnt help much, but i tried.

hmmmm well. i know for a fact you can buy ed's watch. *owns it* but sora's chain...do you mean his necklace or his side chain? the necklace you can buy as well, but it has the kingdom hearts logo across its surface, which, if you're cosplaying, really isn't that attractive.

here are a couple links i know of off the top of my head:
Cosplay.com if you want to talk to me on here as well my username is chinatownlxd.

Cosplay @ ebay alright..this is ebay which requires searching. im not sure what theyve got in all the pages but id give it a thorough look through.

FMA @ ebay alright...so the pocket watch is on that first page. but. do you have a flea market near you? i know the one down by me has an anime stand and they sell the watches. also, say you're going to a convention for a weekend. copslay on sat/sun, and buy your watch friday ;)

KH @ ebay okay..youve got to search here too. but i know its on here. its going to have the logo if you buy it. which...if you use bondo to lightly even out the surface then spray paint it back silver, im sure it'll be fine.

ed's watch i know you have to buy unless youre an amazing craftman and can carve in the state alchemist symbol. we(as in myself and my cosplay group) do make sora's necklace and hip chain. and dont ever..ever buy a keyblade off ebay. they are unproporionate and are flat. dont. do it. trust me, we could make one better for you that is perfect for your height. whatever you do, just keep searching, and plan ahead so you have enough time. if youd like us to make them for you, we can discuss prices (i know the kingdom key would cost less than say the oblivion) and what not.

i'll post more links when i can get on my other screen name, i know i have more junk lying around somewhere. :rolleyes2

hope this helped! :goodvibes
