Costume for MNSSHP

I know I have time, but I don't want to wait and then start stressing over it. I am going to Disney in September with my 19 year old daughter. I want to dress up (my daughter is too), but am having trouble finding a costume. I want to be comfortable, but dressed up. I don't want to do a long princess dress or a bulky costume with accessories because we are still going to be riding rides and walking around. Also as 46 year old mom, I don't want to look ridiculous dressing like a teenager.

Any help will be greatly appreciated?

All adults here and we always dress up with comfort! Walmart men's soft cotton gym shorts with pockets about $6. Tshirts the same. Fabric paint to do bones. Smee (I was Smee 1) shirts were old navy, iron on the circle and fabric paint. Shredded the shorts. So many options for themes and colors of shirts.....AND we have on cotton tshirts and shorts = comfy and cool! Costumes cost less than $20, get lots of compliments and totally washable.

On phone hopefully photo works, if not will fix later.

I'm trying to find something t shirt and shorts ish. It's gonna be super hot in September.

I searched online and saw some people dressed as fastpasses. I would have done that if they still had fastpasses.

I wore a Sally Skellington patchwork t-shirt, clipped in a couple of red hair extensions, had bright red lips, and drew on her stitched smile. Very simple and easy for a September party.

I did Mrs. Potato Head last year. It was really hot but with just shorts and a sleeveless shirt under it is wasn't really too much. My Daughter went as Minnie. She found a dress at the gift shop and added ears.

We bought fishing vests one year and put Dino Institute logo on the backs. We wore them with t-shirts and khaki shorts. The pockets were great for holding all of our park stuff!

How about a Princess Jasmine costume? I would totally go that route myself for comfort sake.

We were pirates and I'd say if you're not accustomed to humidity, avoid wigs and velvet lol.

Smartest thing we saw: Romans in togas. Cheap, cool, comfy. If we go again, that's what's up.

One thing to be aware of is how hot and humid it is in September. We have often seen people sweating buckets in their costumes, since they didn't consider that ahead of time. I've even seen little kids who had to take most of their costumes off because they were so hot!

They start selling Halloween Costumes here in August.... you may find something before you.

I wore a football helmet the last time when we went, and I am sure you can imagine how uncomfortable it was while riding attractions.
