costume at SWW?

Have you ever worn a Star Wars costume to SWW? Or has your child ever worn one?
I just finished a full Obi Wan costume for DS and am starting my Padme outfit. Will we die of heat before 10 a.m.? He wears long sleeved shirts even in the summer, or no sweatshirt when it is cold out. Maybe he isn't as affected by heat - or maybe it's a Jedi trait.

momshark - well, I will say that there were plenty of people (adults and kids) in costumes when we were there last year (2nd w-end of June) - but for the life of me I cannot imagine how they could stand to wear those costumes in that heat!!! It was HOT- mid 90s ! We are going again this year, but will be in our SW t shirts (white, of course!), shorts and sandals. Sounds like your little guy may be able to wear his costume, but I would bring a change of cooler clothes just in case! Enjoy - SWW is a blast!!!

I also think it is a good idea to bring a change of clothes if you decide to wear your costumes. We're definitely used to the heat and humidity and I don't think I would make it past 9am with a costume on.

Even my youngest passed on wearing a costume and he lived in it at home! I just knew that he would want to wear one to SWW, but he wouldn't. He told me he was afraid he would pass out before he made it to the turnstiles. Of course he always had to have the hottest ones (Darth Maul and Darth Vader). I always offered, but was secretly very glad when he declined, because I knew who would have to lug around several pounds of sweaty, hot black material!!!

We always see plenty of people in them...all day long. It must be a Jedi trick (one that I desperately need to learn before June!!! ).

Thank you both so much!! A great idea to bring a change of clothes. Just one more thing to do right at opening - get a locker. Great to hear that we won't be the only Star Wars geeks in costume there.
