We are bringing our kids' friends with us this summer to HHI and I want to give their parents a realistic approximation of how much money they will need to bring. If anyone knows where I can find a list of how much the activities cost such as golfing, horseback riding, renting bikes, the dolphin excursion, etc., it would be really helpful. Or if anyone has done any of these lately, that would help, too. I'm not sure exactly which activities they will do, but I just want to be on the safe side and list them all.

Thanks!

If you have access to a fax you could call the HH resort and speak to the recreation department that deals with activities and entertainment. They would be able to fax you a copy of the current activities that are being offered. They will not be able to send you a copy of what's actually on offer while you are there as they only "finalise" the options a week or two in advance, but many of the things are on a "full time" basis plus it will give you a decent idea of the type of costs you can expect.

We were there last month, and I still have the activities sheet.

We did rent bikes from Disney, and for the length of stay I believe it was $50 for the first 2 bikes, and $10 per bike for anything over. They did have daily rates also.

Many of the activities were free. Examples are: Pinckney Island tour, unbirthday party, toddler tales, music & lore of the Low country, campfire, bird watching, secrets of the marsh, behind the ears tour, beach nature walk, pirates of the calibogue, juggling, etc.

Craft activities were $10 for members, $12 if not a member. Some of these were gyotaku, bird feeders, spring flowers, butterfly houses.

Kayaking was $35 for an adult and $17.50 per child (adult must also go). The dolphin trip we did last year through Disney was $35 per person, do not know if that is the same. We did not do horseback riding.

There were also some programs done by Chef Gordon for members that were $15. We did not do that, but did do his "A Private Affair."

We did play tennis over at Palmetto Dunes, and that was $20 per hour court time. We did not golf, and I think those prices vary.

Hope this helps. I wish were going again soon.

Thanks for the replies. I don't have a fax machine at home, but I will call them tomorrow and have them fax me the list.

Thanks VMS, your info was very helpful!
